Great Little Tent

I have had this tent for about 5 years and it has been great. It is just about as small and light as you can get. I am 6'2" 205lbs and there is plenty of room inside. The vestibule adds more room. It has kept me dry on very rainy nights and I have not had trouble with wind. Pretty easy to set up and take down as well.

Decent tent that I wanted to like, but the rainfly zipper is trash, failed after just a few uses, and Big Agnes wouldn't fix or replace it. (Big Agnes doesn't honor its own warranty policy.) They wanted me to buy a new tent instead and gave just a small credit for my very good condition gear (other than the damaged rainfly). Hard pass on BA.

good lil light tent

nice tent, light, easy to set up, crams into your pack well. if you find two extra tent stakes people left, the porch feature is actually kinda nice when you actually need to seek shelter in your little coffin with head room. A couple things, if you use a bandana to sweep out your tent the material creates static so dirt will stick to your tent, it's kind of comical. just a quick shake and it falls off. the privacy material I'm not too fond of, would have been better with mesh to the floor. I also feel like black mesh would be better for stargazing when laying in it without the rain fly. overall I like the tent, it's pretty sturdy in the wind for such a light tent keeps the rain out, I think ventilation could be a bit better. Definitely noticed some condensation every night. still enjoy sleeping in this tent more than sleeping at home.

My third broken pole section in one year

I purchased this tent to have a light, free standing tent to use on the Colorado trail a couple of years ago. I was fine for the first few trips, until I started above timberline sections. I one gust this past June 2 pole sections a snapped and a 10" rip tore through the fly. I contacted BA and received my 2 pole section in a liesurely rate of 3 weeks. Now I have another broken pole after a trip this week. This is a FRAGILE tent not up to Rocky Mountain conditions, unlike my trekking pole tents from Tarptent and Zpacks. This is better suited for camp grounds or your back yard.

A tent for fair weather only

I bought this tent as a free standing option on long backpacking trips like the Colorado trail. I enjoyed it for one year. This year I was caught in a storm with stong winds and on strong blast broke two pole sections and put a 10” rip in the end of the rain fly. It tookm about 3-4 weeks to get replacement pole sections and then to repair the rip with Tenatious tape and seam sealer. On the next trip another gust flattened it and broke a pole section. It always happens at the three way joint junctions. It is an ultra light tent which seems to mean “very delicate” - be ware!

Wind did the tent in

We had a windy day in the plains of Colorado, my Big Agnes was destroyed. Big Agnes wouldn't replace parts without a fee even though I had just purchased it. I was glad I was not backpacking.

Excellent tent, excellent company

This tent has seen only one night in the outdoors so far, but it performed well and is super light. I like the new stuff sack and the caps that attach the rainfly to the cross bar: these are meaningful improvements over earlier versions of this tent. I should note that this tent was a replacement under warranty for a tent that had minor seam-seal failures that I might have just fixed with seam sealant had not BA offered to make my life easier.

100+ nights, ultralight tough

Not sure why this has no reviews. I used this tent over 100 nights on the CDT 3 years ago, and in the Tetons. Easy to put up, and bullet-proof. Plenty of head space to sit up. I’m 5’7 and I had room for my pack at my feet. Never got wet, and the poles are incredibly strong.

Nice summer hiking tent.

Nice, light tent for summer hiking. Size is just enought for one person with some gear. Only one door and tapered shape limit camping spots a bit. Opening the door when the tent is wewill get the inside some wet from condensation and the awning/door drippings.
