The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
This fits the Kelty Pawnee 55 perfectly, with enough room to cinch it around the front and give great protection when it's not being worn, which is a nice surprise. However, the best surprise about this is the pouch it comes in. It has a stuff sack built in, so the pouch is really just packaging, but it works perfectly as a hip belt pouch! It clips right to the hip belt and is the perfect size for a camera, snacks, etc... I know I'm not really providing a review of the actual cover, but the pouch is a great surprise and I really couldn't be happier!

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
It keeps water off your backpack, just as advertised. I like the built-in cinch bag, which leaves me with the opportunity to use the included carry bag instead as a clip on accessory pouch for snacks, money, whatever.
Good value, using on a 44L backpack, so it's got a good bit of spare room.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
I got caught in a sun shower and I couldn't have imagine what my weekend would have looked like without this cover. Rain protection should be ESSENTIAL for every backpacker, especially on multi-day trips. You could trust the meteorologist, but only if you like a good game of Russian roulette.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
I like the color, adds a measure of safety during hunting season and makes me more visible if I ever need to be found! It is a great fit on my REI Passage 65 Liter pack with room to spare for some extra gear lashed outside.
The stuff sack / storage pouch is a nice added feature as it packs small and can ride inside my pack or attached outside with the clip. Keep my pack dry on a snowy, wet trip.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
Seems to puncture without effort. Bought this rain cover at the store the other day, and tried it on at home on my older REI Evening Star backpack to check the fit. Then the first time I took it out when it rained it had two holes in the top. Not sure if these were there already when I bought it, or if the hard plastic tabs (without spikes or anything) at the top of my backpack put them there when I tried the fit, but in either case, the quality looks exceptionally low. Might be just a one-off problem with the one that I got, don't know.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
This rain cover is very well constructed. I liked the way it fit my 60 L Osprey Aether pack. It easily covered my pack plus my sleeping pad. The rain protection is very effective. I also like material on the bottom of the cover, it seems to be a heavier fabric.

Kept the pack dry in lousy wet mountain weather.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
I must have been especially rough because after five days of rain on the AT, my pack cover had several holes in it. I did like that it had an internal pocket so you didn't need the included stuff sack; and I liked the grey color which is perfect for low (visual) impact hiking in the rain. I returned mine.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
This is a good pack cover. I read a previous review that said they used it for their Flash 65 pack, so I bought one too. The cover does fit the pack, but only if you do not lash anything onto the outside of your pack, or do not fill your pack all the way. I put this on while it rained, and it kept it dry, but I plan on returning it and exchanging it for a larger cover. It has a little carrying pocket built in which is nice, and eliminates the need for the case that is also included.

Comments about REI Duck's Back Rain Cover - 60 Liters:
This rain cover is great. I've had it out this year when southern Minnesota got 7 inches of rain in 24 hrs. That was a fun trip! I have a Osprey Aether 60 (medium) and when I have it completely packed for myself for 3 or 4 days, the ducks back is little small for it. I'd say it would fit a full 50 or 55 liter pack. I'm returning it for the 80 liter ducks back.
