The ecoSensitive™ REI Lookout 40 women's daypack has plenty of pockets for organizing a full day's worth of gear and a contoured fit to keep you comfy over miles of trails.

  • Largely made from 100% recycled PET polyester fabric, each pack keeps 26 16-oz. plastic bottles out of landfills!
  • Post-consumer recycled PET polyester is tough enough to endure the daily grind
  • Women-specific fit features shoulder straps positioned closer together and an anatomic shape through bust area
  • High-density polyethylene framesheet and a single aluminum stay support heavy loads and protect your back from bulky or pointy items
  • Free-Flow egg crate foam back panel is designed to improve body contact comfort, with channels for air circulation to keep your back cool and dry
  • Contoured, padded shoulder straps and waistbelt wrap around to offer comfortable support under pack load
  • Internal sleeve accommodates a hydration reservoir of your choice (sold separately; dual exit ports allow drinking tube to routed on either side of pack
  • Wide panel opening to main compartment gives you easy access to the contents
  • Front zip compartment has pockets for stashing and organizing essentials such as money, ID, multi-tool and headlamp
  • Twin vertical zippered side pockets provide additional storage for often used essentials
  • Top stash pocket has room for items such as sunglasses or MP3 player

      I am very satisfied with this REI pack. I am a 4th year university student in an environmentally based program so I wanted a pack that could accomodate all of my study materials day to day (including a 17 inch laptop)in addition to anything I would like to take when I go out in the field. I also wanted a high quality pack that wouldn't hurt me when my pack was very heavy. After looking through numerous packs and having a hard time finding anything that would fit my laptop[...] I was delighted to receive this pack. [...]. I've used it every day since I've gotten it and am extremely happy with the amount it holds both volume and weight and how long I can carry it.

      Would be nice if they provided shipping information to international customers as I live in Canada.

        I wanted to find a pack that would be comfortable on my lumbar and hips. This pack is the answer. I like longer hikes 15-20 miles... This pack has plenty of adjustment. My shoulders don't hurt after a long day. It's a great overnight pack, plenty of room, easy storage organization.
        More pack than you would need if your just out for a little jaunt. But where water is a concern you can pack this thing with all your essentials and it is still very trim line.
        Also, the badded waist belt is VERY comfortable.

          I love the straps and the carrying capacity of this pack. It holds everything I need for long day hikes - comfortably. It never feels awkward on my back or arms or shoulders carrying the myriad things I do for 8 hours of hiking. Has space to carry a sleeping bag as well.
          Durable outside material. The zippers are very sturdy unlike my Gregory pack zippers. Great look.

          Spend 3 days out of the country with this bag and spent much of it fiddling with the straps. My 72L big bag is more comfortable, even on longer trips. I thought I might not have had it adjusted right, or the weight distributed right, tried several adjusts, never got it quite right and had aching shoulders.[...]..It worked okay when I emptied it and took 2 raincoats, a hat, 2 long sleeve shirts, and some paper work...maybe 2 days worth of summer clothes was too much - it did all fit in the pack, which was nice. It also seems sturdy - maybe it will work better for someone else - it seemed like a nice bag minus that one huge draw back...maybe a better hip belt would fix it...I am considering returning it...
