    Got the short version even though I'm 6'6" to cut down on the weight. Just used it for the first time, and it's leagues above my old pad. Some other pads are lighter, but I liked the quality and comfort of this pad quite a bit. I haven't been let down in the least. The biggest factor though was it's price. On sale it's way cheaper than any other brand, and the REI name says all you need to hear. Thanks yall for another great product!

      I got the short version of this pad for my lightweight setup. I think it's very comfortable and easy to inflate and deflate. I us it as a frame for my backpack and it does very well. I plan on getting a regular sized version of this pad for more comfort driven trips where I bring more stuff. I can sleep on top of roots with this pad and not feel them.

        I have had this pad for years and it has never failed. Sometimes I wish I had the longer version to offer some cushion to my legs, but mostly I appreciate how small it rolls up. It makes packing up my sleeping gear a breeze so I can hit the trail as soon as possible. It is rather slippery, and I find that if I am on even a slight incline I migrate across the tent, but for the most part I am perfectly happy with this pad. It has gone through everything from two week trips in Canada to weekend car-camping excursions for years without any problems. The valve still operates perfectly and I have never put any holes in it. Overall a great investment!

          This is the first sleeping pad I've owned, so I can't compare to other brands, but it has served me well for weekend camping trips. The only drawback I've experienced was this past weekend, with temps in the low 30's, my feet were very cold and I couldn't help but think if I had the regular length, my feet might have been a bit warmer.

          I really recommend getting the Short. You save money, and you do not need a Therma-rest past your knees!

          I own 2 and each one has gotten a small leak after 2 years (almost exactly). REI replaced them, but it was still a pain. Also, blowing it up usually is okay, but sometimes it acts funny and the air doesn't go in.

            I was ready to shell out more money for a Thermarest, this was equal to it in comfort. I've slept on both. This pad is firmer, more compact, lighter, more bang for your buck.

            I picked this up at the beginning of the season and it has performed remarkably well - so much so that I've convinced others to get it too. I'm short (5'1"), but on those few nights when it gets really cold I simply tuck the extra length from my sleeping bag or place my pack under my feet and I'm fine. It's kept me toasty in both pouring rain and sub 30 temps.

            My only complaint is that it does slide around my tent a bit, especially if the ground isn't level, though I've managed to fix that by packing a bit of no-skid padding used for rugs.

              I received this item for Christmas last year and I really enjoy it. I use it on camping trips and when I stay at someone's house. I'm 6' tall and this size works well.
              It expands fairly quickly and rolls up tight. It seems to be durable so far.

                I'm short, so this was just enough length. I needed to pack under a certain weight, so this was perfect for that. I slept on the ground for two nights, and with this pad, it was bearable. I wouldn't recommend it for long outings, but two or three nights, it's perfect. It inflated itself, but it was hard to tell if it was done. Deflation was easy, just turn the dial and start rolling up.
