      Notwithstanding that you must open (and later discard) a new set each time you want warm hands, these may be worth the investment and resulting trash. They are warmest for the first 1 hour of use, then grow less warm, but still helpful in keeping hands and fingers comfortable. Until a better option is available (reliable battery-powered gloves or some such thing), I'll rely on these for my 2-hour winter walks.
