    I keep a set of Hotties in the napsack for emergencies. Was hiking in Olympic National Park and had occasion to need handwarmers; an unexpected overnighter on what was originally planned as a day hike. Nights can get pretty cold even in the summer. These and a space blanket, also carried in emergencies, did their job. As to the Hotties, I opened them about 11 pm, and they were still going strong when we got home late the next morning.
