Excellent carabiner. Doesn't get any better. I've tried alot of carabiners and DMM is the smoothest around, but that's just a personal preference. Great for Top roping and lead climbing

    This is a great carabiner for belay duties and anchoring. I always have two on me at all times. I've used it for belaying with an ATC type device as well as a Munter hitch. And among other uses, when rappelling, the second one is used to back up the rope with either a prussik or autoblock hitch. I've gotten a lot of comments from friends on how light it is. Someone with bigger fingers might find it a little on the small side, but it fits perfectly in my hand and is really comfortable.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
