Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
This light is excellent. It has bright white light that spreads a long distance making it hard to outride the beam. NiteRider has made an easy to mount system that is great for city commuting. The option to charge the battery with a USB cord is also very handy. The meager 175 grams is also fantastic. My only improvement would be to add a flashing feature, but hey for under a [$]you can't go wrong with this little bad boy.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
After going through 3 AA battery lights I finally moved up to a rechargeable....Should have just bought this one to begin with. I ride the Bert Gillman trail 32 miles round trip.
With the AA battery lights my wheels got POUNDED by the unexpected root bumps. With this light that is a thing of the past. I can See!!!
I ride about 15-20 miles per hour and this light is perfect. I do keep a AA battery light in the bag just in case I forget to charge this one. It doesn't blink but I don't care. For a relatively low price, I have a real front headlight.
The AA battery lights I used were all Cat Eye
HL-el010 (Very Dim)
HL-EL135 (Better)
HL-EL350 (Definately the best battery light but still not near as good as the mini USB)
If you're in pitch dark conditions on a paved trail with root bumps, this light will save your wheels and your rear end:)

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
Been using the Niterider 5.0 for Los Angeles commute. Good to be seen lights. Decided to purchase the Minewt USB to further enhance visiblity. Great light. Using the USB charger in the office and the other charger when I get home. Lots of light for the value. For the blinking feature, still using the 5.0 for that.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
I have used about half a dozen different trail and commuter lights and am most impressed by this light. While it does not have the super power of some of the more expensive trail lights, I rode last night two hours on technical singletrack with plenty of light. I would prefer to have one on the handlebars and one on the helmet, but even the one on my helmet was great.
I mostly use the light for commuting and it does an excellent job.
Probably my favorite feature is that it is so easy to install and remove from your bike(s). I had it on my cross, road, and mountain all within the last 24 hours. The battery pack is compact and it fits either on your top tube or under your stem. The light uses a rubber band mechanism to connect onto your handlebars.
All around great light for not too much cash!

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
I used this light as a secondary (helmet) light source during the 08' 24 hours of Moab. It attached well to my helmet, charged quickly between laps and provided great coverage. Next year I am going to replace my X2 duals with a secondary MiNewt Mini-USB on my bars. That way I have resilency between my helmet and bar light as well as a longer lasting battery.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
It's a great light, small and powerful. It's not recommended for serious trail riding if it's the only light you have. I use it for commuting or as my secondary light for trail riding. I give it 4 stars because the charger was busted out of the box, luckily its USB compatible. So, I have an alternate way of recharging.I called NiteRider and they sent a replacement right away free of charge - great warranty service from this company.
Service and delivery comments:
No complaints here, the order arrived at the store within 3 days of ordering.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
This light is great for commuting. I have used it for over 2 months now. I leave early in the morning and it's dark for the whole hour into work. Some areas are pitch black and it lights up the road. I was using a 'blinky light' on steady previously and this is so much better. Now I can't believe I pedaled in the dark with out it.
With this light I have had cars turn off their brights and wait extra long at cross street intersections. Which is perfect.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
Perfect for the office commute. Bright light is capable of waking up the oncoming drivers.
Recharging the battery pack on any standard USB port or charger is sheer genius, not that I've needed to recharge it often!
The only very mild caveat is that the rubber-band handle-bar mount is a little gimmicky, but it does work.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
Overall, this is a great light for the money. It's hard to believe so much light comes from such a small unit! I have been using it for several months now, for early morning and evening commutes. It does the job, and then some.
Only downside is short battery life. It says "up to 4 hours" but I have found it to be less. Convenient advantage is the USB charging capability, however. If I find I am running out of battery in the morning, I can charge quickly at the office from my computer. (Just make sure you keep a USB cable in your backpack.)
Overall I highly recommend this product.

Comments about NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB LED Bike Light:
I am cycling between 35-60 miles in a given day now! When I first purchased the Minewt Mini USB I was very satisfied with the product. But, after TWO rides of 6.5 miles in the dark and another ride of 16.87 miles in the early morning; I knew this light was not going to meet my needs for cycling. I used this product in a small rural community with FOUR traffic lights and it's a very powerfully light for its size and the price! If Niterider would have made a strobe setting for this light it would have been 10 times better. (I like the strobe setting because it separates us bicyclist from regular traffic in the early morning and evening hours). Another aspect that Niterider should have added was a low battery indicator, which is NOT an option on the Minewt Mini USB. Wish I could be more informative with the battery life, but I only used the Minewt for no more than TWO hours. After I purchased the Minewt Mini USB three weeks later Niterider product the Trinewt light which I now own![...] Recommendation: purchase a light that matches your riding style as well as staying inside your pocket book!
