Comments about Polar F4 Heart Rate Monitor - Men's:

I do at least 30 minutes of cardio every day. The heart rate monitors that are built into the machines I use are pretty lousy. I've found that they take a very long time to give a reading on the heart rate. Also, the calorie's burned that they display are very general since often times you never have the opportunity to enter in your gender, age, height and weight.

The F4 is fantastic. I get instant readings on my heart rate, and since I programed the watch with my gender, age height and weight; I know that I'm getting a more accurate estimate of the calories I burn during my workouts.

The one thing negative I've found is with the chest strap. It can be a little bulky and uncomfortable. Also, there's a bit of a catch 22; if the chest strap is too loose, it can move around and become a nuisance once your start to sweat; if the chest strap is too tight, you get some nasty red marks on your chest once you take it off.

Service and delivery comments:

I called the 800 number to get some advice on selecting the best HRM for me. I got right through to an operator, and all my questions were answered perfectly.

My product arrived at my door 4 days before the estimate. The box and the contents were in good condition upon arriving at my door.

    I just wanted to write it does have a backlight. When you are in workout mode, bring the watch to the transmitter and it will beep, show the time, and light up briefly. There is not button to activate the lamp.
