Finally someone decided to make a better cap for my beloved wide mouth bottle. Yes, I got a bottle insert and that stops most spills, but where the heck is your nose suppose to go when you're drinking (maybe I've just got a big nose)? I like to fill my bottle with ice so the narrow mouth bottle was never really an option. And I don't like sucking through a rubber nipple that some bottles have. This cap just works - Easy to drink from the small spout (plenty of room for my schnoz), while still leaving me the big bottle opening to dump my ice in. So far, it's been as leakproof as the original cap. The small green cap has a nice rubber grip, the large gray cap is a little harder to grab. I'm upgrading to one of the new BPA-free plastic bottles, and, yes, this cap is completely BPA-free and PC-free. Done deal. What the heck took them so long? Only bummer is, there's only one color. I want a blue one!

I just updated the Nalgene collection at my home. I was wanting to get one for my mother but there was one thing I was worried about... One of the largest benefits of my Nalgene is the wide mouth, however, this is one of its largest drawbacks. I wanted to find something comfortable, and usable, for my mom. So I took a step out and bought this product. It was truly a great investment. I am ordering one for myself and I have currently "misplaced" hers although if I were to look at my Nalgene I may find it :).
This product seems to be fairly tough. I have not taken it through any major abuse but it seems fairly solid. The top is very grippable. Another large advantage is that the loop where it attaches to the bottle is softer and a little wider than the lid that comes with the Nalgene. I know your not supposed to carry it by that, but really, it is ready made for it. Another great feature is the part you actually drink out of is a really nice, smooth, texture.

I got one of these for Christmas and thought it was so cool. But it seemed hard to screw onto my new Nalgene bottle. I checked out the humangear website and it said the plastic of the new BPA-free bottles can make for a tight fit. The site said they'd already adjusted the caps to work on the newer bottles, but that a small number of tight caps did get sold (guess I got one of them - just my luck!). I emailed them and they sent me a new large cap right away that fits perfectly. Been using it ever since with a smile on my face. [...] I recently went to my local REI to get another capCAP and it fit perfectly too, so I'm guessing they've gotten the adjusted cap out into stores already.

Dude!
For 32oz Nalgene widemouths:
-doesn't shred when grinded like the standard cap
-appealing colors and sleek design
-no giant cap to swing back and smack you in the face
-no more goofy inserts needed to drink normally
-no more drinking while goofy insert swims around the bottom of your bottle
-no more pouring out bottle to get goofy insert
For 20oz Nalgene flip-top:
-won't pop open and spill when dropped
-soft loop plays nice with carabiners
-no protruding points to catch on mesh pockets
Quality rubberized top. Perfect fit. Replace EVERY top with these! Fits most brands to boot.

I've been wanting a cap like this for a long time and was quite excited when I bought this. But it doesn't fit well on any of the Nalgenes I've tried it on. I still use it, but it takes several tries to line the cap up with the bottle threads.

This thing works great. Very quick and easy to open and drink from, but seals absolutely. It can be opened one-handed in a pinch if necessary, because the rubbery lid can be gripped with two fingers. The strap lets it carry well on a finger or carabiner. It seems very durable. The fit is perfect on my Camelbak and Nalgene BPA-free bottles. No taste added to water. Very good quality.
The drinking spout is covered and stays clean when closed. Unlike a bite valve, all surfaces can be quickly cleaned and will air-dry, so no scum build-up. The slightly rough edge mentioned in other reviews can be scrubbed off with a pot scouring pad or other fine abrasive without affecting the seal. Once done, the spout is very comfortable and natural to drink from.
I use it for camping, hiking, yard work, in the car and for daily use when out and about and want to keep water handy in a daypack or clipped to belt.
A simple, brilliant product. Very convenient. The ultimate upgrade for a wide-mouth bottle. I would definitely buy another if lost. I will probably have to buy more for my family so I can keep mine.

This is a great purchase. I own the Camelback bottles and am sick of the straws falling out or losing the mouthpiece. This top is interchangeable with most wide mouth bottles. Save yourself the hassle of trying every type of reuseable water bottle top like I have and just buy this one. It's a no brainer!!!!!!!!

this is a great product, it is cool that there is more than one color now. The only downfall is that if you tighten the cover too tight it leaks. Will definalty be buying more of this product have a lot of water bottles.

Bought one, getting another. Great for Nalgene, Camelback & another wide-mouth metal bottle we have. Easy to drink from on the treadmill, in class, and in the car. No biting on rubber or sucking on straws! Doesn't leak, although in AZ heat you shouldn't lay any bottle sideways in a pack, it could ooze. Just make sure you line up the threads in the cap with your bottle and it should be fine. Love it!
