Comments about Zamberlan Tundra GT Hiking Boots - Men's:
I selfishly never review items but just had to after finally finding the perfect boot. After a long hunt of trying to find the right boot for backpacking I ran into these and am incredibly happy.
I first tried the Zamberlan Civetta's. These came up a bit too high for me hurting the low end of my calf. They were pretty heavy and were a bit narrow for me (and I never wear wide shoes).
I've tried the Zamberlan Skill 310s (the tongue was consistently pre-bent and leaned significantly to one side after trying on 3 pairs). I was getting too much presure from the tongue area, and after a hike realized that even after lacing tightly, I was getting the toe crunch on decents. I tried these with green superfeet as well but it made the toe crunch worse as my heal wasn't as locked into place as it was with the regular insole.
I then tried the Cresta all leather Hikers from llbean. These didn't provide enough toe box room and were too narrow. I was about to try the wide version of these as the length was good and thought I wouldn't get the toe crunch with these but then my saviors arrived in the mail!
The Tundra in mens were perfect from day one. Hardly any break in period. Not too wide, not too narrow, not too long, not too short, no heat or pressure spots. They are light but yet feel solid. They provide great ankle support even though they are a little lower than the Civettas and other boots I've seen/tried on at the store. I've had no issues with the water proofing. One big plus is that I'm not too hot in these leather plus gortex lined boots and I normally get hot in leather. They have 3 fabric sections on both sides of the boots which I believe really help in this department.
These are excellent boots and plan to continue with this line as long as they still sell them. A+

Comments about Zamberlan Tundra GT Hiking Boots - Men's:
With my REI dividend, I was looking for an all-purpose dayhike & backpack boot; I haven't had a good one since the old days of the NPS Vasque Sundowners (made in Italy). The Tundra looks like a lightweight hiking boot, but it's very tough (and extremely comfortable). I have put them to the test mostly on off-trail desert rock scrambling, with moderate loads so far. The fit is very grippy and good for scrambling; I plan to use them for backpacking too.

Comments about Zamberlan Tundra GT Hiking Boots - Men's:
Wanting to get a serious hiking shoe, I tried on practically every pair that REI had to offer. The Zamberlan Tundras just had everything I was looking for. A great fit, due to the fine Italian craftmanship no doubt. Very solid; however, not as heavy and cumbersome as the Civettas and some of the expensive Asolos and Vasques. I have not tried them on the trail yet, but I plan on going up Mt. Diablo to check out some waterfalls this weekend, so we shall see...

I love these boots! My last pair of boots made my feet hurt. Now no more pain! I put these on just to walk around the yard. I worry less about rocky trails now.
Service and delivery comments:
I picked up at Grand Junction store. Worth the drive just to eat Famous Dave's BBQ! The staff at the store were very helpful, courteous, and professional.
