After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly.     Great little bike. My first roadie. I like this zippy bike very much but wish it came with all Tiagra parts rather than a Sora front der which does not provide smooth shifting. The carbon fork really does absorb the jostle of bumps. I was going to only use this strictly for a fun after work/weekend bike. But it's so much fun to ride that I've put it into service as a commuter, too.

      As a beginner triathlete this is the perfect bike for me. The small frame geometry is great for a female body....the seat is even comfortable!
      I ride the Carema for training, pleasure and commuting. It shifts well, cruises up hills and is all around a very nice bike! Love it!!

        I did very well on my first 36.4 mile ride with a group. I was pleased that I didn't have a problem keeping up with experienced riders that had more expensive bike. Hills that were fairly steep the bike was smooth and I could easily maintain a decent speed. I have been riding this bike 3-4 times per week. So far no complaints, for the price its an excellent buy.
