I purchased this belt because I am tired of my leather belts wearing out after a couple months. I do a lot of outdoor activities and carry a Buck Knife, 9mm Pistol, Camera and Cell phone all on my belt. This belt is extremely durable and handles all my weight with out any issues.

I spent the extra $$ on this belt over the plastic buckle for an impractical reason. Carbon fiber is just cool! Now I know it's also practical. I like to hike and camp in the back country, and also mountain bike. Didn't want leather or metal that would stiffen, dig in, be loose or too tight, or take forever to dry.

The Pros: The buckle is SUPER light, hardly know it's there. Every corner and edge is rounded super smooth and seamless. Buckle stays where you adjust it. Doesn't dig in now matter how you move. The belt width is just right to not dig in by being too narrow or too wide. Dries quickly.

For a nylon belt it's surprisingly stylish, not cheap or hobo looking like some plastic and nylon belts can be. No worry about metal detectors, breeze right through.

The Cons: Cons? Cons? We don't need no stinking Cons!

I wear this same ultra light carbon fiber airport friendly belt with a 3 piece suit, hiking & travel clothes. It's non magnetic so metal detectors don't set it off, plus it's attractive, durable, lightweight and never slips or pinches. A belt doesn't get much better.

I'm pretty impressed with this belt and I'm generally not a big fan of wearing belts normally. This one is super light and durable compared to leather belts and can be adjusted to a perfect, comfortable fit without slipping.

At first the price seemed a bit steep, but I've definitely been convinced of its worth and would buy it again.

I only wish they made one you could wear to the office.

I bought this primarily because I am avoiding purchasing animal products, hence, did not want leather. This belt is really nice and light. One day I couldn't find it and pulled out one of my old leather belts and was surprised at how heavy the leather one felt by camparison. So much so, I didn't want to wear the leather belt so I kept looking until I found the "Carbonator". It makes a difference on those ultra hot days and when wearing shorts. The one thing I don't like is the looks. It looks like it is a strap from a tent sack or something. The CF buckle does kick it up a notch and the look is growing on me a little, but it is still pretty darn utilitarian in appearance. But comfy!

Works very well as an every day belt. I was skeptical about paying for the carbon fiber version but now I am totally glad I did. Despite the lack of teeth on the belt, it still holds firmly even when there are heavy things like machetes and knives on the side. Thin enough to fit through all belt loops, and even fits through my North Face paramount pants. Versatile in the water too, as it dries quickly and resists abrasions on rocks, and it doesn't set off the metal detector. Very happy with it.
