Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I love these boots! I was really hesitant because I have large calves but I decided to take a chance. They fit great. My calves are 14.5 inches where the boots end and 15 inches at the largest part just above that. I can wear them with thick socks and still fit my hand into the boot. I wear a 7.5 usually and that's what I ordered in these. I hope this helps others with large calves.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I was looking for a boot to brave Seattle winters and rainy, cold bus rides to work. After lots of searching, I found these at the Flagship store. They were perfect and just what I wanted. Light, comfortable, stylish, and durable. They also match my non-flashy, practical style. I enjoy them so much that I'm considering buying them in black too. Haven't had a downpour just yet so cannot comment on their waterproof aspect but Merrell makes great products so I'm sure they'll be just fine. I also got some knee-high, Smart Wool socks to keep my feet dry and my legs toasty...works like a charm.

Was excited to try these, but I was very disappointed! For a girl with medium muscular calves. I hoped they would fit my muscualr calves, but even with the extra elastic, they were just a bit too tight. Very cute, but not a good fit for me.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I was searching for a stylish black flat boot and bought this for how it looked and fit, and that it was waterproof. Recently, with snow and ice storms in Portland, Oregon, unexpected, I was amazed when I stepped out to walk the dog in these boots and didn't slip on the ice sheets outside! (All my other boots and shoes were slipping!) The sole is almost like a sticky sole. Very warm with a thin smartwool sock, extremely comfortable for long walks. I'm going back for brown! Wouldn't recommend for larger women with larger calves. I'm a runner, and my runner calves are snug. Wouldn't want them any tighter in that area. I'm amazed by this boot. Buy this boot if you are looking for something that looks great, and performs great in inclement weather. You can walk with confidence on ice and snow.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
I live in Japan, and I do a whole LOT of walking. It rains here about as much as Seattle, and it is quite cold. I loved the look of these boots, but I bought them based purely on the fact I wanted boots I could wear all day without a problem. The boots are extremely comfortable, my feet never get cold and they stay dry. They were exactly the type of boot I was looking for. I thought they were a bit hard to get on right out of the box, but after wearing them three times-they're easy to put on and take off.

Heaven for a city-someone who wants a cute, stylish boots (wear with dresses, jeans with legs tucked in or over the boot, pants...) and still wants to trek on miles of city sidewalk without killing her poor feet. More, they are great for rain and mud and light snow in the winter. Mine lasted two years of almost daily use (Oct-April/May), and I just bought a second pair (a rare thing for me to ever do).

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
These boots have turned out to be great. I wear them almost every day. I wear them in the snow, rain, and all around cold weather. I also wore them on a recent trip to NYC. The boots turned out to be great walking shoes too. My only issue, is that the leather seems to scratch easy.

I love these boots! They are a bit stiff at first, but leather should be. They are perfect for Montana. I can walk to the bus or school in all kinds of weather without slipping and sliding. I want practical boots that are cute, and these are it. I would buy two pairs, though, as you will be sad if they are ever wear out.

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
These boots are excellent. I wear them for walking around the city, waiting for the bus, etc., in the snow and the rain. They are the first boot that I have found that are waterproof and have good traction on the sole while still looking sleek an stylish. I get complements on them all the time. They have a thin layer of insulation on the inside, so they don't look to bulky but do keep your feet warmer than leather alone. I find that if I wear them with a pair of Smartwool socks my feet are warm enough out in the snow, but not to warm when I go indoors. I can't say it enough, I love these boots!

Comments about Merrell Tetra Launch Waterproof Boots - Women's:
Unfortunately, I had to return these boots because they were much too tight in the calves. I would say that I have slightly larger than normal calf size (from exercise and body type) and these boots were not ever going to fit me. It is quite unfortunate that women with legs like mine can't wear boots like this.
The style was nice, with an attractive look. The sole was not as comfortable as I was expecting. The leather was nice.
Overall, if you have larger or slightly above average calves do not buy these boots.
