Comments about Keen Targhee II Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I wore them on about 80 miles of the 195-mile Wainwrights Coast-to-Coast Walk in England. They performed well across fields, up and down hills, in mud, and in rain. However, the shoe strings did shrink, causing the toe to draw up and the black rubber toepiece to press on toe nails. Loosening them and stuffing the shoes with newspaper over night brought them back into shape. They are great hiking shoes with ample room for toes yet fitting well in the heels.

These boots are not very breathable but I have found that they do really well with liner socks.
The liner socks keep your feet from being hot. Try them..they really work!

Comments about Keen Targhee II Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
These fit me foot very well and they are very comfortably shoes, but I'm not a fan of the eVENT waterproof breathable fabric. Waterproof, yeah - Breathable, not at all. It feels like having a grocery bag stuffed into your shoes. You'll be wetter with these than those without the eVENT, I don't care what conditions you're hiking in. I wish I would've got a similiar model without the eVENT.

Comments about Keen Targhee II Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
Bought these shoes because of their stability and rubber nose. That all works fine, but boy oh boy are they hot. That makes them really uncomfortable and I cannot wear them the whole day. I have never had the problem of hot feet ( and wet) before, so it really is the shoe that just does not ventilated at all.

Comments about Keen Targhee II Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I absolutely love these shoes. I purchased my first pair of these in January 2007 for a trip to Belize. I'd never heard of Keen brand shoes before that but I'm so glad the associate at REI introduced me to them. They perform very well in muddy and wet conditions - I was surprised. They are extremely comfortable and do not make my low back hurt when I'm on my feet all day like most other shoes. Yes these shoes stay dry and yes they keep your feet warm but if you dislike your feet being cold at all these, or probably any Keen shoes, are for you. I always feel warm when I wear these shoes. Oh and I've shoveled my driveway with these on as well and my feet were warm and dry...and I was happy!

Comments about Keen Targhee II Cross-Training Shoes - Women's:
I am on my feet all day, on pavement or concrete and these are the only shoes I have found (I am on my 6th pair, I use 1 pair per year) that keep me comfortable and dry. They are exceptionally stable with excellent arch support. I wear them 9 mos out of the year, opting for a cooler, lighter shoe for the hottest summer months. But in 60 degrees or less, a LOT less, you cannot beat the comfort of these shoes and a good pair of smart wools.
