    you don't put a windflap around corners, i just had to have strangers release me from my coat becuse the flimsy windflap wraps to the other side of the zipper and rips. there are 2 options leave it unzipped and wear a scarf so it doesn't cut your chin or zip it up and get forever trapped. thank you strangers! i'm 4'10" and the womens size swallows me, but i have another one of this style that's 5 years old and still doesn't have rips in it, but it's lost a lot of down over the years. a disposable coat is NOT ecoSensitive! get that windflap a few inches down, better fabric, and less velrco!!!!

    I bought this jacket for my 3 year old since it was a perfect fit for her. I was surprised at how easily it tears. My daughter tripped and did not even hurt her hands but where the coat had hit the ground it tore a small hole. Also the down feathers keep poking through in all different parts of the jacket. My daughter also caught it on something and it ripped another hole in the back of the jacket. I can't believe REI is marketing this jacket to children when the jacket is so easy to damage.[...] My faith in REI products has seriously been damaged by the poor quality of this kid jacket.

      My daughter loves the jacket but the zipper gets caught in the thin nylon material often forcing her to take it off as a pullover instead of unzipping. I will probably return this item for this reason.
