      I'm not sure why this product wasn't created before! If you have experience with the Denali line, you will be THRILLED with the added protection of a hood! I love my standard Denali jacket, but I love this even more. It is a great all-around all kind of weather jacket that I reach for almost every day, but having the hood protects my head from the Oregon rain and I like that!

        I think the added hood on the Denali is awesome! I like this style in general but the hood really makes it more snuggy! Kudos North Face.....

        I got this jacket b/c I wanted a heavier weight fleece jacket with a hood. Since I heard good things about the denali, i went for it. For how bulky it is, it is definitely not that warm. I usually wear Medium but since I have Large in another TNF jacket, I went with Large. I am 5'8 and the denali covers my rear and has room to layer underneath which is what I wanted. I really love the hood, especially b/c it has a fitted cut and actually keeps my head warm. What bugs me about the jacket is the totally inadequate chin guard...it could also be absent. I have to wear a scarf with the jacket to not be bothered by the zipper. It is good for base camp/cold weather layering, walks with the dog when it is chilly (not windy), etc. The jacket could be improved by a better chin guard, another chest pocket (in the women's version there is only one) and maybe some wind proofing as to justify the bulk.

              I love the denali jackets by North Face, in fact I have several colors. The other night when I was at REI, I saw the jackets with a hood and I just had to purchase one. It's the perfect jacket for cold weather and the additional hood just makes it even better. I would recommend this to everyone I know! I wear this jacket 24/7 in the fall/winter here in North Carolina.
