This Trilithium 3-in-1 jacket from The North Face features an insulating liner jacket for removable warmth in changing conditions.

  • Wear the shell jacket and snap-in liner jacket together for maximum protection, or wear either piece alone as conditions warrant
  • Fully seam-taped nylon shell jacket uses HyVent™ 2-layer coating for waterproof, breathable protection
  • Polyester slick mesh lining wicks away moisture and blocks snow; embossed nylon taffeta in sleeves eases layering
  • Detachable hood is fully adjustable to ensure a weather-blocking, customized fit
  • Shell features front handwarmer zip pockets for chilly hands and forearm pocket with goggle cloth for small essentials

This is by far the best winter jacket I have ever owned. I had a Columbia jacket which couldn't keep me warm in 35 degree weather as opposed to sub zero conditions. The Trilithium has worked great in windy, 15 degree Chicago wind chills and actually made me feel a little too warm when the mercury got closer to forty! The inner layer works really well on its own in slightly warmer, dry conditions. The shell handles rain and snow like a charm. I hope to have this jacket for a very long time.
