Comments about The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's:
I bought the TNF yesterday. It seems to be well design and the underarm have 2-way zippers control ventilation.(again!)The main zipper and the flaps seem to work well.North Face may have read the comments .I would not be able to afford a gore-tex jacket for more than what I paid for :[$].(This is my first gore-tex jacket.)This does not feel like a light jacket.I spend a fair amount of time in the rain and wind. This jacket seem to work for me.

Comments about The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's:
Nice jacket. Works well as a rain coat and wind breaker in mild weather. My Marmot fleece has matching zipper and fits perfectly as the liner extending use of jacket into winter. (If you add a button or snaps st the bottom of the sleeves and at the top of the collar the pair work as if they were made for each other). The material breathes and works well for winter sports. Interesting side note. Neither my North Face fleece nor my North Face vest will zip into this North Face jacket.

Comments about The North Face Mountain Light Jacket - Men's:
I've had a NF Mountain Light jacket for over 10 years. I usually zip in a NF primaloft liner and wear it most of the winter in MN. It's the jacket I use in heavy snow falls or just the shell in wet weather. It's lightweight, goretex, well made(at least it was 10 yrs ago), waterproof, windproof, durable and still good looking as long as you wash it once a year. With the liner it keeps me warm down to about 10 degrees. After that I have to switch to a down jacket with polartec liner or put a polartec under this jacket with the primaloft which is good to about 10 below zero. If there's wind however, you'll need a 4th or 5th layer.

I am really happy with this jacket. The lightweight outer shell is perfect for warmer weather and the zip in linner is great for colder days.
