Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
Been looking for a leak-proof, stainless, insulated, clippable mug that I can take on my bike or in my car. Finally found it - Yes! I don't have the drinking problems other users seem to have, but here's the rundown on my down sides: clip is flimsy; logo was sticky until I scrubbed it off completely (sorry, REI...). And the color flakes off the colorful mugs. If you buy this, stick with the plain stainless. Also, it's made in China - can't we do better than that?
REI, if you read this, please: a stronger (metal?) clip, no wimpy colors or logos, and find a US maker for it. Then, it'd be perfect.

Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
Agree w previous commentators on sticky label. The picture posted is accurate. My other beef is that liquid leaving the mug creates a vacuum because there is no pressure attenuating hole in the top of the lid. So the liquid flows in relative fits and starts as the vacuum is created and then overcome. Can make peaceful morning coffee a challenge. I drilled hole in lid to correct flaw. Works fine now.

This mug is great for what it is designed to do and that is hold my coffee every morning. It does not spill or leak. Yeah the label came off pretty quick but who cares. The Clip grip is a great feature i can clip it on my pack, harness, boat doesn't matter keeps the coffee in there and Hot.

Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
I read the reviews on this mug and decided to try it for myself. The rei logo definitely gets tacky when hot liquids are put into the mug. I started playing with it and began rubbing it off after a while. I later used a hair dryer to heat is up and remove the rest of the logo. Problem solved, no more sticky mess and my coffee still stays warm. The only other thing I have noticed is that when you have really hot liquids in the mug, the flip top does not always seal because of the steam trying to escape.

Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
I use this cup everyday just like the previous version of the REI cup. They seem to have fixed the problem with the breaking handles. This new design also doesn't leak like the older one did.
My only complaint now is that I use this cup almost 100% for hot coffee and the sticker/paint/label on the front gets sticky and rubs off onto your hands and other things. I don't have this problem when I have say...ice tea or water in the cup. It's only when I have hot items.

My mug and I have had many good times together. Sure the label wears off and sometimes drinking out of it is finicky. I don't care.
It keeps my coffee warm and I didn't mind the price. Oh and it sits nice and snug in the cup holder of my Jeep =)

I was searching for the perfect "to go cup". This fits the bill. cap screws all the way and will not leak. Keeps coffee hot. And cap can screw on for eiter a Lft or Rgt hand drinker. very smart.

Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
I was looking for a coffee mug that insulated and didn't spill for a long time. I was very happy when I found this and in general, it has been great. I can throw it in my water bottle pouch on the side of my backpack and (in general) it doesn't spill. Only problems are when the lid gets bumped, sometimes it will leak if my bag is laying down. The hole gets plugged with a coffee "bubble" sometimes. Just a quick blow to it and the problem is fixed, although with a little splash. But when full, it happens often and makes drinking difficult. Also, the coffee doesn't stay warm long. It's good for a coffee normally, but if I'm studying or not really sipping often, it gets cold fast.
Recommendations: clip to secure lid, double wall vacuum insulation.

I have been a member since 1969 and this is the only purchase in all of those years that i actually cant stand. As noted in previous reviews the label gets sticky and will come off. The lid has one hole resulting in drinking from this thing as a " hit or miss" proposition. .Soft sips or gushes of hot beverage? one never knows. Because the lid screws on, getting the drinking hole to line up where you want it is also problematic.A push on lid would be less work. The handle is sharp to the t ouch inside at the top where your upper most finger comes in contact with the handle.I cant wait to return this cup to r e i

Comments about REI Camp Cup with Clip Grip:
I use this product in the office exclusively. I bought it to get out of the plastic habit, and with all I've read recently on BPA's I needed a stainless steel mug. I think it's a nice mug, and I bought the copper color, which is also quite nice, but the painted-on REI logo seems destined to disappear. If using for hot beverages the label gets very sticky and rubs off. I will likely scrape the entire label off in the near future and continue enjoying sans REI adornment. Decent mug overall.
