Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
My dog already owns the ruffwear boots and I was skeptical to buy a second set of shoes for him because the REI shoes looked of lower quality compared to the ruffwear; however, I bought the REI shoes, and I was impressed with them. Much more comfortable, no irritation, no need for liners, the soles are tough even though they look like they would wear fast, but no. I don't have any problems with the shoes moving as other reviewer said previously; maybe it is because the shoes are the right size and they have to be tight on the leg (yes, one time one of them moved and the sole ended up on top, but after tighten them, the problem was fixed). Now, my dog wears the REI shoes and the ruffwear are in storage. I still like the ruffwear, but my dog can't wear the ruffwear for the entire 14 miles a day hike; however, my dog wears the REI shoes for the entire hike without any problems. Also the REI shoes are half the price and a better deal for the dog.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I bought these boots for my English Setter who had trouble running in the snow - she'd get ice in the fur between her pads.
The boots prevent that and she's able to run for 2-3 hours at a time in the snow without problems.
I've tried other types of boots that cost more and wouldn't stay on her. When tightened properly these will stay on for a good 3 hour romp or hunt in the snow.
I've only been using them for about a week so I can't comment on durability. However I don't think I could ask for anything more from these boots. They're easy to get on, easy to get off and protect my setter's feet very well.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I use these when we go off paved or grassy areas into wilderness trails. These protect my dog from sharp rocks, plants, other pad injury, fox tails, etc. He is much friskier when they are on. They seem to stay on (so far). Since dogs sweat from their pads, these boots get sweaty right away, and smell after only a few days. I take them off my dog ASAP we leave the wilderness areas.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
We bought these for our puppy to sail with us -- to give him traction on the deck and protect the deck from his nails. We've been REALLY pleased --heeled over at 20 degrees he's standing on the hatch top solidly, where without the boots and parked in the slip he's falling all over. Adjustable straps at ankle help with fit and keep them on, but we've had some problem with them turning around on his feet (an issue, as that puts him walking on the even more slippery nylon instead of the sticky rubber bottoms), but that seems to be lessening as he grows into and wears them in. Taking him canoeing next week, and expect them to help there as well.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I got these boots based on the reviews I read on this page. I am so happy with them. We took both our dogs out for an overnight camping trip. It had been raining all week and the trails were huge mud puddles. The shoes just glided right over the mud. When they waded through small puddles, I was surprised their feet didn't even get wet. I readjusted one of the shoes mid way through and her paw was warm and dry. They stayed on great even while treading over rocks and them trying to charge after things.
They were also so easy to clean. I kept the little mesh bag they came with and after we got home I put a tupperware container in the sink ( so it would catch the dirt, it wouldn't matter if you used the hose outside) and I washed them by hand with just water. I set them out to dry on a towel and that was that. They look brand new again, no discoloring or tears.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I bought a set to protect my dog's paws from ice and melting chemicals.
The set came with 4 identical boots. The ones I put on the rear legs stay in place. However, the ones on the front legs tended to slip down and flop which became very annoying to my dog. The included strap does not grip anything on the leg. I added another velcro strap which seems to have solved the problem so far.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I bought these booties to prevent my dog from licking a wound on her paw. They worked great with supervision, but once left alone she easily chewed them to shreds. The "sole" of the shoe is poorly designed as it moves around too much and usually ends up on top instead of underneath the dog's paw. (As a result the dog walks on the less durable canvas which wears quickly - especially outdoors.)

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
I got a pair for my puppy. I measured her foot and she was good and under the 2.5 in for the small. They looked small in the store but I got them anyways. WAY TO SMALL. So now I am returning them... Going to go with the Ruff Wear, which I have for my other dogs. But if they fit, may be good. Never gotthe chance to try them.

Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
Dogs don't really like wearing booties. I understand that. I just wasn't prepared for the dog to take off her own booty within minutes of velcro-ing on. I also wasn't expecting every single booty to be torn up within 3 days of light use. The booty doesn't secure well, and often times it slips a complete 180 degrees so that the rubber sole is facing up. I am not sure how to make booties more dog friendly, but these ones are useless.
Comments about REI Adventure Dog Boots:
Can you please sell something that works. Immediately these booties spin around on the paw and then the dog is worse off. A waste of money since the product does not work at all.
