Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

I just started training for my first marathon. And my coach advised me that I need to carry food/water with me, for my long practices. I picked up this belt and I love it. I tried on a few, but found that the water bottles or pockets would get in the way and hit my elbows. So I love that the gear on this belt sits all the way around on my back. The bottles are easy to get in and out and dont leak. The one pack is a bit on the small side (which is why I only gave it 4 stars), but I bought an extra Nathan pouch that slides right on and gives me the extra room I need to carry keys, tissues, chap-stik, gels, etc. I also like the two bungie cords on the side, I can strap on my gloves, (once I've warmed up) and they dont get in my way. However, I must admit, that with the iPod and the extra pouch, I do look like a contruction worker with all his gear, as I head down the road.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

Works well for trail runs/hking when you need just a little water to get you back home. Pockets (1 zip, 1 velcro, 1 bungee/velcro outer) are great for holding phone, keys, gels, tissue, bandaids, extra socks, also has bungees for jackets or gloves on the side. Wide & stretchy belt fully adjustable for smaller waists - I'm 5'5" 120lbs. Belt can clip on ipod or gps. Bottles easy to access & never fall out. Pack washes well on gentle cycle in washer. Coming downhill it sometimes slides if you are on a bouncy trail and have minimal clothing. Stays put the more you have on. Ran 22 mile trail race & didn't even notice it was there. Filled bottles at aid stations ...worked perfect.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

I've tried many hydration belts, for marathoning & trail running, only to be disappointed and convinced that companies design their belts solely for men's bodies. The Nathan Trail Mix, however, is awesome and works well if you have hips. The pack in back gives it just enough weight that it doesn't slide around (like the Amphipod belt, which I returned) and the adjustable cinch belt beats velcro any day! I don't drink lots of water when running, so if you need more than 20 oz, this may not be a good fit. However, there is ample room for energy gels and such, both in the pack and by using the glove holders. All in all, the best belt I've seen.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

Alright, this is a bit tricky and what clothes you are wearing affect how this will work. With some clothes it was just fine and with other clothes it was a royal pain. I am small and had to wear it around my hips in order for it to fit snugly. Unfortunately, if I wore the wrong clothes it would slide around and would drive me absolutely nuts!! One day as I was running I had thought it had loosened up so I went to tighten it and the buckle part broke on the top piece so I had to tape it back together to hold it closed. In order to put it back on for later runs I had to step in it and slide it up. I recently I would be able to forget it was there, although it felt very heavy sometimes when I first headed out on my run. One time I had an issue as one bottle kept popping out of the holder no matter what side that bottle was on. I ended up drinking some of it and then had no more problems with it. I won't be buying this one again though, just didn't work well enough for me. I might recommend to a friend but I will be advising them of the issues I had with it.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

I love this water belt. It holds just enough water for when I go on short hikes or runs. It secures tighly around my waist and I can hardly feel that it is there when I'm running. I also love the zipper pocket which is big enough to hold my cell phone and keys and then the outer pocket which you can slip something small in like chapstick.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

I was looking for something for shorter trail runs when I needed to carry more than a handheld. I like Nathan waterbottles and this pack came highly recommended from a friend. Within the first 20ft it began riding up on my waist and rotating around. It does have a waist adjustment but definately doesn't work for 5'5" 116# female...or at least this one. I went 14 miles that day and ended up carrying it the last 6mi after getting so frustrated trying to adjust it. I wouldn't recommend for smaller women.

Comments about Nathan Trail Mix Waistpack:

I'm currently training for a half marathon and wanted a small pack / belt I could wear when I'm on my long runs (or regular, shorter ones) to carry basics like keys, my ipod, etc. This pack was perfect!

First, I find that the belt design is durable and easy to put on. It fits securely on my hips and I don't feel it shifting when I'm running at all.

I'm also rather short (5'0"), so it was important that I found a pack that wasn't big and bulky or that would get in my way when I'm running. The bottles fit nicely around on the back with the main zipper compartment in the middle.

The zipper comparment has an internal velcro pocket so you can put your ID or map in there, and also a hook to clip onto your keys so you don't have to worry about accidentally yanking it out somewhere on the run. There is also a velcro mesh pocket on the exterior which is great for stuffing in a snack or trash from a gel / energy bar / kleenex, etc.

Overall I have no issues with this belt at all. Even with two full bottles the belt is manageable and not too heavy to wear. I tend to not drink a lot on my runs, so if you need more than 20 oz, then I'd suggest you get something else.

The only reason I didn't give this belt 5 stars is because I found that the bottles, when really full (or close to it), leaked a tiny bit when I was running (just a few drops every now and then). That may have just been my error in not tightening it enough.

Overall I think this is a great belt, affordable and definitely great for smaller framed runners like myself.

My husband got this as a gift and was so disappointed when he put it on for the first time. This is supposed to fit up to size 42. He is size 38 and it didn't come close to buckling!
