    It's lightweight for its size and quite tall and roomy when raised. The hardwear locks and fasteners are excellent and easy to use.

    It's not too difficult for two people to setup, but it's not as easy as other models. The aluminmum feels a bit flexier, but once's it's up, it seems fine.

    The packed size is rather large. It wouldn't fit in the trunk unless we folded down the rear seat and would barely fit in the back seat with no passengers. If we had a wagon/minivan/SUV/pickup truck, it would be fine, but it doesn't work well for a sedan.

          This is a great product. My wife and I were looking for something to keep the sun off of us during our frequent trips to the beach here on the FL gulf coast. This is just the ticket. When we first got it, I set it up in the backyard to try it out. Once I got the gist of it, setup was easy. The first time takes a little while since you have to attach the fabric to the frame. After that point, it is as simple as expanding the frame, clicking in the locks, and velcroing the fabric to the frame. I would estimate it takes about 5 minutes to securely set it up from the second time on...

          We ended up leaving the shelter up in the back yard for 3 weeks after I set it up the first time because we liked it so much. Well, in the third week, we had a pretty strong storm blow up on us unexpectedly. I cringed as the 40+ mph gusts manhandled the shelter (had I used the stakes/cords I'm sure it would have held up to the winds). I didn't want to risk my life (lightning) to rush out and collapse the shelter. Once the storm had passed, I ventured out to inspect the damage. One of the legs was folded under the shelter at less than 45 degrees. I was sure that it would be warped or bent. Much to my pleasant suprise, the leg popped back into place perfectly when I lifted the center of the shelter. Amazing durability!

          I am going to enjoy this product for years to come.

              Although this tent seems heavy duty and is advertised for use on the beach, the tent did not last 2 hours on the beach with minimum wind. There were many tents on the beach that were 20% of the cost of this tent that lasted for 2 weeks. Even the waterproof seams came undone.

              The frame broke in at least 6 places on the first day!

              I would never recommend this product!

                  Okay, I have had three EZ-UPS and this is BY FAR better than any of them. When my friend suggested that I check these out at REI I was not sure what to expect. This is very light weight compared to the others that I have tried. The hardware and pins are far better and easier to use. I would rather have another color choice, but the white ended up being the the best pick for be. I read some negative reviews from a couple of people, and I think they are looking for something that may be unreasonable. If you have strong wind or monsoon type of rain--take it down. I have seen several canopies fly away in wind storms and it has nothing to do with the quality of the canopy--it has to do with bad judgement by the user. This is the best built, lightest weight one that I have found. We mainly use it it bicycle events, but will probably find other things that it will serve us well for also.
