The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I use these socks on all my runs. I recently completed a marathon in these - in the rain. I had one small blister in my usual spot, but other than that, these socks remained snug and comfortable. I've logged a few hundred miles on 1 pair and they are holding up pretty well with only slight pilling on the heels.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I had been searching for a good running sock for quite some time. Anything more than 3 miles in any cotton sock would give me blisters. Doing some research I found these and tried a couple pair. The first two pair lasted me over 300 miles. They finally started wearing-out around my normal hot spots on some of my toes. Never had a blister though. As I have started to run longer and longer distances I noticed that my hot spots come back around mile 8-10 so I'm trying the PhD Running Light (instead of these Ultra Lights). They seem to work well so far.
These socks also work great for traveling. My feet never get too hot on airplanes or long car trips.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
Not much to say. I have returned 5 pairs between my son and I because of worn-out heels(the last pair was only two months old!) That being said, I love the Smartwool brand. They feel great on the feet. Snug (without being tight)and fit great. Most of their lines are well made...except the PhD line. I have had no problems with the Hikers and light hikers. I only wish that Smartwool would make a larger sock for big feet like mine.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
Bought 4 pairs in February and every pair was worn out and had holes by March. They are very comfortable and serve their purpose well, but their longevity leaves A LOT to be desired. They are the kind of sock that you wear for an intended purpose, not all day, and even with that, there will be a very short lifespan. I was hoping that they'd at least last 6 months which is the same duration/rotation schedule as I buy my running shoes...

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
Have been addicted to SmartWool socks for 10 years. Just discovered this style: Surprisingly perfect for running. Tried them first on a 10-mile run: not one issue. They stayed in place. No adjusting necessary. Store was out of women's PhD styles, so I bought this: Works fine for women. Even looks creative with leather sandals when out and about. Especially perfect for people with feet that perspire frequently. When I discovered SmartWool, I pitched all cotton socks.

I bought these socks based past performance with smartwook hiking socks and skiing/snowboarding socks. These socks work real well. Ran 10 miles in them recently and had no problems. Socks feel like they will be durable.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I have four pair of these that I rotate to wear seven days a week. I do not care what I am going to do these are the socks I wear. I got them because I had great success with SW hiking socks. Despite many of the other reviews I do not think they wear out fast. I have been wearing them for 6 months (oldest pair). It is comfortable from time to time to take my shoes off and let them air dry a little and just do some adjusting. I would recommend checking the size, at first I got some that were a little small and they bunched really bad and I experienced the "heel loss" some others have mentioned. I am not only describing casual wear, I have traveled extensively through central america wearing the same pair for long periods.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I have several pairs of these because I have had great experiences with Smartwool's ski racing socks for winter activities. These socks wear through, though, in a matter of months instead of years. They have some flaw in that the wool just wears away quickly at pressure points. The elastic is still there, but you start to see through the sock. I'm now looking to find a new brand for running socks.

Comments about SmartWool PhD Running Ultra Light Micro Socks:
I`ve had a pair of Smartwool socks before and loved em, but these are as thin as dress socks. I Feel like I need smaller shoes. Absolutely no cushion, and if you wear these socks once without shoes on, say good bye to them because you`ll have holes. Try some Wigwams.
