Comments about Leki Sierra Antishock SLS Staff:
I've had one of these poles for years and love it. The terrain I hike involves sliding on my butt to go down and crawling on my hands and knees to go up so, after getting the locking mechanism tight, I haven't adjusted it since. That being said, the initial adjustment took a while as the lock will slip if it isn't tight enough. The knob grip works for me as I hold it in the palm of my hand with no strap(I fall a lot and the pole, attached to my wrist by the strap, ould always hit me in the head),and the foam grip has no tears or missing chunks. This pole has fallen down 800 foot shale banks and has been lost temporarily in swollen rivers and it's still in good shape, albeit scratched. Since I'm getting old, I was actually considering getting another pole and it's good to know that Leki still makes this one and REI still carries it.
