Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
Purchased the Burley Delite in September for our then one year old. Also purchased the stroller conversion kit so we could trailer downtown, then push as a stroller around shops, museums, etc.
The trunk is great, we can pack all the gear for our son, a picninc and a small cooler, everything you need for a day out with the family.
The trailer is so light and rolls so smoothly that I almost forget it is back there.
The negative i have is that the seat has a crotch strap, but the placement is so far forward that it lets our son slide down too far. It would be an easy fix for Burley to stitch in some slits into the seat fabric to allow adjustment of the strap location. Not sure how i could retrofit something.
So, other than the strap location, I couldn't imagine designe\ing a trailer much better than this.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
I have a 20+ year old Burley that I used with my children when they were young, I now use it to carry groceries and for touring. I purchased a 2008 d'Lite from REI to use for my grandson because I was so impressed with the new comfort and safety features that have been added. The store staff was extremely helpful in pointing out the key features of the Burley d'Lite like the solid and stable suspension system in addition to the suspended seat, the full roll bar cage which is far superior to anything else on the market and the new adjustable/reclining seat which seems very comfortable although I did need to get instructions from the store staff on how to adjust it.
I chose the Burley over the Chariot because it cost less once the stroller and bike kits were added (the Burley trailer comes with the biking kit), the seat pads and shoulder pads are removable so they are easy to wash (we didn't have the option on the old d'Lite)and finally that the Burley trailer had a larger interior space to accomodate older children.
I did purchase the new Baby Snuggler which helped my give my 8 month old grandson more side support until he is a bit bigger. He had a blast sitting next to his 3 year old cousin and the bonus was that we had enough storage space to fit in all of our picnic gear to go play ball at the park. I am glad to see that Burley is continuing to make high quality products, keep up the great work.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
We absolutely love this trailer. The design is very streamlined and easy to manipulate when getting around. We have twin boys who are 5 months old, and they have been riding since they hit 4 months. Burley is working on an infant support that will make the ride even more cozy, but the boys adjusted well the way it is now. I use it to walk to the grocery store and for extended walks and the boys sleep, rain or shine. There is even a piece of material that you can adjust under the water shield to cover the childrens’ eyes so the sun doesn’t irritate them!! My husband is able to go jogging with it, and then we are able to change out attachments and use it for walking around and turning easier. This trailer is made of very durable material and has some wonderful perks- I would recommend it to anyone. I love knowing that this is a trailer that will grow with my family and my children will be able to hitch a ride with us for many years to come- on bike, jogging or just for a casual stroll. The wheel for the jogging stroller attachment makes it easy to go on any surface and keeps a smooth ride.
Another important aspect of this trailer is that the company has excellent customer service – and that means a lot to us!!

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
My friends told me to buy the Chariot brand, but I wanted a Burley as I saw so many on the road. That was a big mistake. I feel that it is a sub-par design with non-durable materials (compared to other brands for the price). I have had several problems and their warranty support has been off-the-charts unacceptable. Save your money and either buck up for the more expensive Chariot or save your cash and buy a cheaper model.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
We bought this trailer about six months ago and can't get enough of it. Originally we inherited an older Burley two seater and used it for a year or so. We loved it so much, but wanted the features of the newer ones. These things have awesome resale value.
I don't have the problem of the kids sliding forward like some of the other reviewers and we do take the kids on pretty long rides. I have two boys that are 1 and 3. Together they weigh about 65 lbs, but even when I have older/ heavier kids in the trailer it still pulls like a dream. The seats seem to be really comfortable for the kids and we started putting my youngest one in the trailer when he was about 6 months. I think they recommend that you wait until they're at least one year old, but like I said we didn't and it worked great for us. The possibilities are endless for different weather and sun conditions, and there is always enough room for us to stuff our gear and goodies in the back.
The trailer is really easy to put on and take off of our bikes. We don't use it as a stroller that much, but that's just because my older one would rather walk and it seems like overkill when your only pushing one kid. I have nothing negative to say about this trailer or Burley.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
Major design flaw with the seat. My daughter slid down so far that only her head/neck was supported by the seat back. Looked uncomfortable and unsafe. Thought maybe it was user error till I read the review from Capt. Dan.
A real shame since it seems like everything else was pretty well thought out. Exchanged for the Chariot Cougar. Agree with Vunje, worth the extra dollars.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
I recommend this product to anyone in the market for a trailer. I use this for trailing, walks, zoos, parks, jogging. I am a stay at home mother that has a child with Cerebral Palsy that cannot do anything independently (including sitting). I wanted her to experience bike riding and needed a safe, secure, and comfortable ride for my daughter. This is the ONLY product on the market that I would put her in.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
I simply love my Burley. I typically bike 6-10 miles for a great workout or around town for grocery errands with my 20 month old. Occasionally my BIG 5 year old son or a little friend for my toddler will hop in as well for a quick trip (1-3 miler). My 20-month old even fell peacefully asleep the other day, I couldn't believe it. She loves it!

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
My husband and I have the Solo model and love it. Did see the reviews about the child slipping in the seat - our daughter did as well when we went for our first couple of rides. Then we adjusted the seat and have had no problems since. We put in a lot of miles each week over mountainous terrain. The Burley climbs and descends very well. Not only we do we like the ride characteristics (our daughter seems to appreciate the roominess) of the Burley we really appreciate the high visibility of the trailer. I see this as a big drawback to the Chariot models. We've been on long rides with friends who have Chariots and those trailers are much less visible (narrower profile and not as bright a color) when approaching from behind.

Comments about Burley d'lite Trailer:
i bought this mainly for Walking to the store ( I live in JAPAN). The steering is AWFUL and it is hard for one person to put together by themselves which I have to do often. The frame has broken twice, but I cant say that both times were not my fault. So don't buy this if you are going to be using it for jogging/walking primarily.
However for biking it is great easy to attach and when bike falls trailer stays up right. And it has a TON of room for kids and for groceries.
