Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
I have tried on many harnesses in and outside of the store and have found this one to be the most comfortable. I have worn a Petzl harness before and it gave me bruises on my "love handles" and did the same thing to another girl I was with. Also the petzl pinched a little bit "down there" where this one did not. I am 5'2" 155 lbs and I wear a medium just fine. I thought I was going to be a large. The only drawback that I can see right now it that it feels not as durable as the Petzl but we will just wait and see a couple years down the line.

Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
The newest version of the Primrose was improved overall except for the leg loops. The old leg loops were *much* better. The old leg loops were padded, but *tapered* dramatically in the inside thigh area. The new leg loops taper a *bit* in the inner thigh area, but are *so* padded and wide they chafe the inner thigh. I weigh 110 lbs. and am 5'5" so I don't naturally have that problem.
I was *so* disappointed in the new Primrose for the problematic leg loops.

This is my 2nd black diamond and my 3rd harness. I've only had it for a few months but so far its been great. It's easy to put on, it adjusts well and it's comfortable for climbs. I'm usually in the gym for a few hours each time and i haven't found it was uncomfortable at all. It was a nice change from a mens harness... Fits great.

Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
This is my first harness, so I only have rental harnesses to compare to. I've used this stylish harness for both gym and outdoor top roping and I love it. I'm small (5'1") and the XS is a great fit. I also like how self-explanatory the straps are - I was able to step right in and fasten it up with no explanations. I also like how the gear loops are sheathed in plastic: adds durability and ease of use.

Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
This harness is definately comfortable, with the padded waist and leg straps. The rear loop on the back of the harness is perfect for a tie in, when belaying a heavier climber, or for carrying extra gear. The harness is easy to adjust, put on, and take off. The smart design, excellent features, and comfort make it the best harness I have ever used. It is great in all types of weather and does not uncomfortably rub the legs, like other harnesses do. I would definately recommend this harness to everyone!

Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
This was my first harness and I've been using it for over a year. I find it comfortable, with good padding, and I have never had problems with chafing. It is a great harness if you are starting out and don't plan to climb too hard/long.
Sizewise, I debated between XS and S because I fall between the 2 sizes. I got XS, which fit but was a squeeze. If you're stuck between sizes, it would be better to go with the larger one.
The main thing I don't like is that sweat builds up under the padding. Because of this, I refuse to wear the harness longer than 1-3 hours. Upon removal, my clothing/body retains imprinted moisture which dissipates after 10-15 minutes. Fortunately the harness airs out fine after I stuff it into its mesh sack, because it never
smells gross.
I would recommend this harness to friends who climb casually and infrequently.
I would not recommend this harness to friends who climb regularly and/or intensely.

Comments about Black Diamond Primrose AL Harness - Women's:
I've been climbing with this harness for just under a year (3x/week indoors; outdoors when I can). I've been described as having "child-bearing" hips and used to be pear-shaped. I still have "tree trunks for thighs" as a friend once commented. I'm 5'9 170. This harness is a good fit for me. I tried just about every brand, in every style (men's and women's) and the fit was just right, smallish in the waist with more room in the thighs, and more length between waist and thigh than a man's harness. If you're shaped like a woman (whether male or female), I suggest trying this harness.
My only problem is that my waist-to-thigh circumference ratio necessitated a medium harness. The problem is that the medium waist is just a little too big, while the small's leg loops are a little too small. I went for comfort in the legs.
Last note: I spent a day photographing kids climbing. I set up a rappel and hung (with three leg wraps) for a long time. I had no discomfort issues from the harness.

This is my first climbing harness, and it is really comfortable to wear. I have used it both indoor and outdoor rock climbing as well as ice climbing. Very easy to get on and off. Very happy with it overall.
