by fromMostly Great These cots are mostly great. They are adjustable so appropriate for most scenarios, very wide so plenty of room. There is a sag in the middle and I need a flat surface to sleep on. They would only be comfortable with a stiff pad on stop, unless your back doesn't mind the sag.

by fromKind of Like my Navy Cot So far so good, I got the cot this week and set it up in my house, I laid on it for a long while and found it to be very comfortable. I did not get it to camp outdoors, but to use in my 5th wheel camper. The sofa bed used an air mattress, which deflate during the night; by morning I am sore and sift. The bed in my camper is very comfortable, but a little to small for both my wife and myself to sleep on. When she come to stay with me a few night I sleep on the airbed,,,, but I hate it. When I saw something similar at Sam's club I told my wife, "that looks like the ticket, it's almost just like the bed we slept on in the Navy." I went back and Sam's had sold out, so I did my research and found this bed/cot at REI and noticed that in most cases it got 5 stars I bit the bullet and order one. Well, I am off to the camp grounds next week for about 10 to 12 days of camping and fishing.

by fromExcellent car camping cot! Cot performs exactly as described and is definitely comfortable due to the shock-cord suspension. To make it even more versatile I tightened the locking devices on both sides of the head/shoulders section to the halfway open position which made a really comfy lounge chair, probably not what the designers intended but it works very nicely. When I'm not using it my two dogs (80+ lbs/ea) share the cot for napping.

by fromComfy Cot I'm a weekend tent camper. I've been searching long and hard for the right cot. I think i found it. This cot is very comfortable and sturdy. As mentioned in other reviews, the cot is a little on the bulky side, but still worth the investment.

by fromComfortable but takes strategy to pack I was looking for a cot to use for a sideline project that requires 13 days at a time living out of my tent. The first trip I tried one of those inflatable roll up pads. Must of had a leak and after about 3 nights, you get sick of the ground. I looked at most of the cots on the market. I was looking for durability, ease of use, and comfort. This cot is extremely well made, all six legs adjust to different heights for uneven ground, and well its comfortable. Draw backs, I am required to hike about mile from my car. The weight isn't so much a problem but figuring out the best way to carry it is. You will need bungee cords just to store it. It looked kind of comical strapped to my pack. Not the best for narrow trails.

by fromIf you want a cot, get this one! This cot is SO comfortable! It is padded and the legs are adjustable, which is a huge plus. If you want your legs or head elevated, this cot can accommodate this. It also adjusts for uneven ground. (Be sure to position the feet horizontally.)It is also relatively lightweight and seems to be pretty sturdily made. Its big drawback, as other reviewers have noted,is that when it is folded, it is very bulky and takes up a lot of room--in a closet or car trunk. But if you are car/truck/SUV camping, and need more for your sleeping comfort than a pad that served you well 30 years ago, the cot's space-hogging is a small price to pay. In use in my tent, it took up more room than a pad would, of course, but you do have the option of under-cot storage. I'd give it 4 and a half stars.

by fromGreat for Nomads Post college graduation my friends and I took a 3 week trip Out West and backpacked in several of the National Parks. While I am an advocate for a lightweight pack when we came back from our Western Adventure I purchased this cot. I had currently set up living arrangements with a friend but there was no room for an actual bed. I purchased this cot in place of one and have been sleeping on it for the past 3 months. I even have a poor back from playing soccer in college and it has not hurt once the entire summer. While the cot is bulky it works great for my purposes. I would NEVER take this cot backpacking. You would have to be crazy. Nevertheless, it is great for my present situation or possibly even day trips. My family has always been minimalists' when it comes to camping. But I guess it could work. The adjustable legs would allow for a great nights rest on uneven ground. For a current nomad like myself this cot makes my life simple and easy to move around. But if you are looking for something easily transportable for day hikes or storage I would look at something else. It all depends on your circumstances. But overall I have had a great experience!
