The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
This is a great chair. It is in a naturally comfortable position, in fact so comfortable, that I wanted to put my head back and fall asleep, but there isn't a back for the head. Easy to set up, easy to cary, shoulder strap on carrying case is perfect. Great all around chair, actually worth the money, particularly if comfort is of intrest.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
Slightly pricey but a very well designed product.
Sturdy, comfortable, lightweight and compact are often a tough combo to achieve and this does.
A lot of other mesh fold out chairs are awkward and have weird sitting positions, specifically how they support your hamstrings or actually get in the way.
Arms and a slightly higher back would be nice but this is a camp chair, not a wing back.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
I needed a super-comfortable and LOW chair for use at a music festival that limited the heights of chairs. This was by far the most comfortable chair I came across. Not only is it comfortable in its usual position (four feet on the ground), but I've found that I can comfortably tip the chair back on its two rear feet (each of the feet actually swivels) and balance in that position, without any effort -- so it's like a recliner. Also, the padded arm rests are so sturdily constructed that you can use them to push against (I weigh 190 lb) to raise yourself up and get out of the chair. The only drawback is the chair's price, but I've learned it's going on sale in two weeks (May 1), and I plan to purchase a couple more for my kids, who now use my chair in their rooms because they find it so comfortable.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
I really like this chair. I bought two on sale at REI, what a bargain! You would never guess how comfortable these chairs are unless you sit in one. I threw it out on my deck, and already can't stop sitting in it. These will be perfect for sitting around the fire, on the river, or after a good hike to relax in. The really cool this for me is I just bought the North Face Big Fat Frog tent, and the chair fits perfect right under the vestibule!

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
Although everything about this chair is well made I was particulary impressed with the foot pads on the end of the legs. Given that I use it inside my tent it wouldn't do to have legs that would cut into the floor of the tent. Check out the photo, the foot pads would work as well on soft ground to keep you from sinking down.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
All the good things said, apply, plus this wonderful chair will allow you to weather a long rainy spells inside most tents or under a tarp watching the rain come down in comfort. In the N.W. we think about this. The quality construction is impressive, this chair will last. Warning! if you camp with anyone, make sure they have their own chair or problems will arise.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
I was looking for a fold-out chair for music events and tailgating, and was undecided between this chair and the Alite butterfly chair, also sold by REI.
The Alite's novel design has its advantages, namely weight, compactness, and usability on an incline, but in the end I went with the Stowaway. Its more conventional design and reclined back lets you really stretch out and relax. It's like your favorite lounge chair, just portable and lower to the ground. There isn't a cupholder, but you sit close enough to the ground to where you can easily set drinks down next to you.
I got the copper color; it's a little darker than the picture, though not quite burnt orange.
The chair folds up in a cylinder, not flat, and is shorter and lighter overall than the average camping chair. It's also more expensive than the average chair, but it's sturdier and higher quality. The key word here is value: you get what you pay for.
Service and delivery comments:
Fast delivery via USPS, it arrived well before REI expected it to.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
This is an extremely comfortable camp chair for its size. It folds down small enough that including it on any camping trip is a non-issue. It is short enough that the ground provides a natural footrest.
The main downside of this chair is the price. However, the build quality is top notch and I expect this chair to give me years of use while camping or in my apartment.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
I use this product constantly on the river, in the camp ground, and around the fire ring. I love how quickly it dries on the river. The mesh is strong and comfortable. I haven't found a single thing wrong with it yet. Great buy, and I'd definitely buy this again if something unfortunate were to happen to it.

Comments about REI Camp Stowaway Chair:
I bought two of these for music festivals and the like. Great chairs, very comfortable, lightweight as one person can easily throw two of them on one shoulder.
We have a Lightspeed Quick Shelter and the chairs fit perfectly. Great on the beach and at events!
While it is a little more money the typical "bag" chair, the quality makes up for it!
