Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

I've owned both the larger Guyot Designs spork/spatula combo and these Micro Bites as well, and these guys take the cake. Where the larger utensils were handy if eating directly out of a heat n' serve pouch, they otherwise felt like you were eating with large cooking spoons. The Micro Bites, however, function as perfect all-around eating utensils. The serrated knife edge is surprisingly sharp. (I didn't believe it when first playing with them, and ran my thumb across the blade, and immediately got thin paper cuts) - However the shape and interlocking nature of how they pack away so far has not had any effect with cutting anything else by accident, say for instance the insides of my pack, etc. - It's also comforting to know that in buying these guys I'm actually leaving a negative carbon footprint thanks to Guyot Design's cool eco-friendly policies and standards. - Overall great utensils.

Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

Beyond the backpacking use, there are perfect for travelers. Take one of these sets, wrap a couple of standard paper towels around it, and you can still fit it all into one of those small "snack" size Ziploc bags.

Just back from a week in London, I ate my main meal out in town in the middle of the day, and grabbed a salad and some other goodies to take back to my budget hotel. These worked perfectly. I carry a set all the time in by work shoulder bag.

Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

The "five in one" uses are a bit of a stretch, but this little spork plus spatula set earned a spot in my minimalist cook set. The plastic won't scratch my pots, the colors are cheerful enough to prevent loss in the abyss of my pack/tent/campsite and the two utensils work well in my minimalist kitchen. Did I mention they seem to be indestructible?

Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

I don't know why, but I just keep buying utensils.

Well, at long last, my search is done. These are fantastic! They are a great size, durable, and terrific for using as a spatula or spreader.

I had the original, which I like for eating deep into a dehydrated meal bag, but they are too bulky for the majority of my hiking trips.

I like the bright colors, since I am more likely to lay this type of tool down and lose sight of it. With these, I doubt I'll ever leave these behind.

Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

I bought this for a trip to New Zealand and found it was great for both backpacking and general travel. The two pieces clip together for very convenient packing though I still added a small band to ensure I keep them together and can clip them to a pack.

I used this to eat my backpack meals so I can't speak to the fork part. The spreader knife works well for spreading jam. I was impressed that the knife was sharp enough to comfortably cut through a salami stick.

Since they are short, I'd say they're probably more for eating than cooking.

Much better than the full-sized version, easily fits in a pocket or clip it to a loop/strap. So light and compact you don't even know you're carrying it. Best for eating from "pouch/bag" meals rather than actual cooking utensils, though.

Comments about Guyot Designs MicroBites Utensils:

This is proof that expensive is not always better! After checking out all the utensils at REI that ranged from economical to expensive, I was impressed by how economical and great this product is. For the price and materials, one would think it's flimsy but this is incredibly sturdy and durable.

I use this when I go camping, hiking, and even send hubby to work with this in his lunch bag. It's much better than any other disposable utensils and is reusable which is eco-friendly. If you lose it, you won't feel like you're losing a whole lot either. It happens when you're out there.

My husband kept trying to convince me to buy a titanium spork like he has. I'm so glad I held out and got these instead! Unlike his spork, these don't scratch our cookware, they pack easily inside our pots/pans, and they serve so many purposes! And I love the color options as well. :) On our most recent backpacking trip, we ended up sharing these utensils most of the time, while his titanium spork got left in his pack. Highly recommended!
