Comments about Kelty Light Year +20 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I like this sleeping bag a lot. I especially like the velcro locks for the zippers since I usually wake up freezing in the middle of the night with an unzipped bag...I also like all the draw strings and I especially like the foot zipper. I am short 5'6'', but I still got the long since it offers more wiggle room and provides a possible storage place for NiMH batteries and fuel cannisters that need to be kept warm in order to work properly.
I also like the cool orange color. Overall, the bag seems to be of a very high quality and I like the compression sack that allows it to get to the size of a NFL football. Very light and comfortable.

Comments about Kelty Light Year +20 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I just took this bag to Colorado for a backpacking trip and it performed great definitely worth every penny. My friend has a North Face 20 degree and he woke up shivering every night. I never got cold once. Everyone was amazed at how little it compresses down to and how little it weighs. My light year is half the size and weight of my friends north face. I love my Kelty light year it’s perfect for backpacking and is true to its temperature rating. It has loops on the sides that you can use to tie a sleeping pad to. I felt that it had adequate room inside. I am 6 foot and 210 pounds and I was comfortable, I have been in mummy bags that felt like strait jackets but the Light Year did not feel that way. If you ask me I think this is probably the best deal around for a down sleeping bag. Good price and great performance.

Comments about Kelty Light Year +20 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I'm going to be living out of a backpack all next year, so I got this bad boy in anticipation of that. Got a chance to test it when I hiked Mt. Shasta this weekend. Not only was this thing small and light, but it handled the freezing cold like a champ!
We spent the night at Lake Helen basecamp at 10,000 ft. The air temp was 20F and the wind was about 40mph, making the windchill -20F. This bag kept me warm and toasty all night - i couldn't believe how warm it was. For something that pretty much compresses to the size of a rugby ball, that is amazing.

Comments about Kelty Light Year +20 Sleeping Bag - Long:
Bag weighs so little but it's so warm. I've had mine for a few years now, and just bought my wife the same bag a few months ago.
I just got back from a January hike down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Before the final hike out we stayed at a campground where the temperature dropped to somewhere around freezing. I cinched up the top around my face and even though I could barely feel my nose, everything else was nice and toasty.
I've also camped out in the mountains of New Mexico during hail storms with plenty of snow on the ground. It's always kept me warm.

Comments about Kelty Light Year +20 Sleeping Bag - Long:
I used this bag on a 4 night camping trip in the Smokies. We were car camping but I plan to use it for a backpacking trip in the spring. We had one night with lows near freezing and I was toasty warm. I am a 5'9' female but I bought this long bag b/c I am a bit of a squirmer when I sleep. I was able to move around very easily. I don't love the hip length zipper though, but it didn't snag at all so that's good.
