Comments about REI Self-Inflating Travel Pillow:
Wow, what a deal. I thought [$] might be a little bit of a rip off, but not with this. Amazing how comfortable something that is inflatable is. It isn't like sleeping on an inflatable amusement park prize, it is like sleeping on a pillow. Very comfortable, packs easily, doesn't slide around, doesn't stick to your head. Very good for those trips when you need a good night's sleep.

Comments about REI Self-Inflating Travel Pillow:
I took this pillow for a 3 months motorcycle trip. The pillow is surprisingly comfortable. The surface has good texture and you can adjust it to the desired height. I was happy with this pillow while it lasted. The pillow started leaking after a month of every night use. I ended up using my Dromedary water blader as pillow for the rest of the trip. Additionally, the pillow does not pack very well.

Comments about REI Self-Inflating Travel Pillow:
This pillow exceeded all of my expectations. The air valve is one that you'd find on a therma-rest. It is self-inflating, with insulation inside the air chamber which helps in colder weather. One of the best things that I noticed is that the bottom of the pillow has thin gel-like lines which keep it from sliding on slick surfaces. This pillow even comes with its own carrying case (mine is black). I have experimented with MANY different kinds of pillows... for the size, weight, features and money you cannot beat this one. It is advertised as a "travel pillow" but it is excellent for even the most rugged of outdoorsmen.

Comments about REI Self-Inflating Travel Pillow:
I love this pillow. I've taken it on several long backpacking trips as well as car camping trips. The rest of my family have another type of memory foam compressible pillow which is more bulky and heavy, but I am very happy with this compact pillow and sleep very well with it.
The shredded foam inside fluffs up and inflates and adjusts easily and never leaks. It tucks into my mummy hood nicely and doesn't slide around with the grippy ridges on the backside. I cover it with a fleece top for added softness and cushion. I roll it up and tuck it into the bottom of my sleeping bag stuff sack, so I don't even need the little stuff sack it came in, reducing even more weight.

Comments about REI Self-Inflating Travel Pillow:
I enjoy using this on carcamping trips and airplane trips. It is very adjustable and besides being a good sleeping pillow it can support your neck or lumbar when sitting for a long time in a plane or a car. It packs well in my carry on, too!
