Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
I use the Skeletool constantly at work, its on my side on my days off and on every hike or camping trip. It was a great gift!

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
I have had this tool for about 6 months now and I have carried it every day. The knife blade can defiantly hold an edge if sharpened properly. I have not had a problem with the stainless steel what so ever and I tend to be around salt water quite a bit. I would have wanted there to be a few more tools on it, but considering the size of the tool, it has a great proportion of size to tool ratio. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a heavy-duty multitool that is corrosion resistant.

The blade on this thing, short but potent, carries a lot of applicability.

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
This Leatherman comes with very useful tools when it comes to the line of volunteer work work I do with Search and Rescue. The knife is very sharp and sturdy; cuts rope very well, helps make good tinder by creating wood shavings and it's just an over all good tool to have around. One con is that, since it has lots of small spaces, it is a little harder to clean but not to bad at all.

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
A fantastic EDC (every day carry) multitool. Also excellent for camping or other outdoor activities where needle nose pliers and/or a flat/phillips screw driver might come in handy. It is primarily a knife, secondarily pliers, and finally some nice touches with the bit driver, pocket clip, spring clip, and bottle opener. Rugged, durable, beautiful design and craftsmanship. Keep it clean and you cant get any better for a sub 6oz multitool. An alternative might be the Leatherman Freestyle, but it sacrifices a few tool options. Stay away from imitations like Gerber, they are junk. This tool is a lifetime companion, and then you'll pass it on to the next generation.

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
Not a bad tool to have. Nothing great either. I use this at work. Fairly useful tool for average jobs. I feel confident to have this along with me on the trail, and it has definately come in handy. I like the fact that it has a clip, but I do have a sheeth to store the bits in. But, if you're one who really likes to get into a nitty-grit with tools and see results, look for another Leatherman.

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
Maybe this was a defect but the tool snapped in two at the pliers while trying to remove a stubborn tent stake. I'm an ultra lighter but perhaps the extra ounce would have made this tool more durable. The holes look cool but they shouldn't be there. Just my opinion....

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
I use the Skeletool (and the Leatherman Bit Kit) for basic everyday use as well as bicycling. I bought this as a replacement for an old 'traditional' Leatherman, which I still have. Some of the pros/cons are in comparison to the old Leatherman I have.
Pros:
-Knife is easily accessible and, when extended, has a surprisingly comfortable (and safe) grip.
-When using the pliers, the grip is again very comfortable even squeezing really hard.
-Belt clip is sturdy and very useful. I use it as a money clip that holds 6 cards.
-storage for 1 additional bit
-Overall great feel.
-It looks cool.
Cons:
-Bottle opener doesn't work great, but does work.
-Its not that light, compared to my old Leatherman.
-It only carries two bits, one of which is always in place. If it is removed, the Skeletool looks weird. Also, a sharp bit may be dangerous when using the pliers because the bit is integrated with the handle.
-IMPOSSIBLE to open with one hand. And even with two hands, it is way to difficult to open.
-The needlenose is less substantial.
-It weights no less than a traditional Leatherman while not incorporating as many different tools.
Overall, I am really happy with this purchase. I carry it everywhere.

Comments about Leatherman Skeletool Multitool:
PERFECT.
There are other tools out there, but this one is the best for me. Other multi-tools have tons of different tools, but the problem is always that the 1,000 different tools are hard to use, add bulk to the other units and rarely see use.
The Skeletool is different. You get what you need, in a format that is easy to use and is lightweight and comfortable. No fluff, No over-kill, just the perfect tool for your pocket.
Quality on the item is top notch, and the comfort is unequaled. The Skeletool just FEELS RIGHT in your hand and in use.
I'll purchase another one for myself just because I'm a fan, and I'd recommend everybody else to get one too. I'm the Goldielocks of multi-tool users and the Skeletool is JUST RIGHT!
