Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
My dog wore this thing in strong gusts and snow at high elevations (8000 +) multiple times. No problem at all. When I took it off her after one of the 4 hour plus hikes, the inside of the coat felt warm and dry. The coat sticks close to her body, almost "sealing" her from the elements. There are no back end attachments but the coat still stays tight on her body even in the strong wind or when she moves around all over the place. I'm glad I found this product. Compare to most other readily available non-custom products, this coat is one of a kind, top notch!

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
The coat appears well designed and constructed. However there is a major issue with the front leg sleeves. In order to secure a good snug fit they use elastic around the end of the sleeve to seal the opening. This may not be an issue depending upon your particular dog's anatomy (leg shape), fit at the sleeve, and energy level. If your dog just sits like a rock while wearing this coat then no problem. However, if you have a dog that likes to run or goes for a long distance then you have potential for injury.
I put the coat on my dog and she did a lot of running in field for an hour. When I took off the coat I was horrified to see that it scraped off the fur down to red raw skin at the end of the sleeve to the front of her legs. I had purchased a coat that was more on the larger rather than smaller size for her fit too. The vet said it is not uncommon to see a coat with that type sleeve cause that kind of damage, even to the point where it cuts down into the meat. My dog was lucky because it did not cut past the skin but it will take a several weeks to heal. I put neosporin on the wound, took photos. I wrote an email to Ruffwear advising them of the hazard and I offered to share the photos. The response I got back was surprising... "I wonder if bringing the coat to a local seamstress to fix the sleeves would be a good idea."
No interest in seeing the damage or to take seriously the potential of harming other dogs. A simple modification of that front sleeve would make this a great coat rather than a coat that will injure your pet.
I have other products by Ruffwear that are excellent however I would not recommend this to any pet owner till they alter the sleeve design. I don't normally write reviews but I can't keep quiet about something that's potentially going to cause harm.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
The coat is wonderful for snug fit, durability, protection, warmth, and ease of use. However, my GSH pointer wore this coat nightly for 6 days and was left with SEVERE and DEEP blisters on his arms that took weeks to heal. I, thus, rec'd altering the sleeves if tight and worn frequently.

I own a female, 2 year old German Shorthair Pointer. She weighs 50lbs and the medium size coat fits her like a glove. It is easy to put on (when she holds still) b/c it has a zipper verses other coats that have to go over the dog's head. It appears to keep her plenty warm and dry for cool days here in the southeast.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
This jacket is great. We've used it several time for snowshoeing etc. The jacket is a good snug fit and very comfortable. The jacket offers a lot of stomach coverage to help your doggie stay warm.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
I initially ordered this jacket online for my 50 lb. black lab in a size medium, it turned out to be too big so I exchanged it for a small and it fits like a glove! It keeps her warm and dry in cold weather and gets her lots of compliments from everyone she meets! It's cute without being too frilly. My only complaint is when she runs and turns sharply it starts to come unzipped (about 1-3 inches), I've remedied this by turning the zippered part of the jacket under about an inch.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
This jacket is warm, truly waterproof and breathable, but the size doesn't seem to be right for my 50 pound pit bull. I got a small originally and it was the right length, but was too tight-fitting for a dog with bulky muscles. I returned it and got a medium, which was too long, loose in some spots, and the right fit in others. I had to do some pretty serious alterations that would cost half the price of the jacket to get it to fit my dog. I'd suggest you do all the measurements on your dog before purchasing one, it may just not be worth it for a dog with a unique body shape. It is a very nice jacket and keeps my short-haired dog warm, but seems to have been designed originally for a different dog.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
This is by far the best jacket that I've found for my seven year old Boxer! He is hard to fit since his chest measures 33" and he's not too long. The stretchy panel underneath gives the jacket a snug fit, the length just covers his little tail, but he dosen't seem to mind! We haven't had any problems with chafing as other reveiwers have mentioned, even after hours long play sessions in the snow, and long car rides.
Whenever I take the jacket out of the closet, my dog immediately runs over and sits at my feet, he knows its time to go out and play!

My boxer-mix wears it daily to doggie daycare & plays hard, stays dry & warm. Easy wash, but snags a bit with outdoor roughhousing.

Comments about Ruff Wear Cloud Chaser Jacket:
This Jacket is exactly what our short-coated Doberman/Weimeraner mix needs for snowshoeing and back country skiing in the winter. Fit well, kept him warm and kept moisture away from him. The only problem was that the zipper came undone when he ran in it which unfortunately resulted in him loosing the jacket in the woods the first time we took him out in it. I'll replace the jacket that's how good it is, however I'll sow in some velcro or a snap at the end of the zipper right away. Maybe Ruff Wear could take this as a suggestion for the jacket's design.
