Comments about Novara Pulse 26'' Kids' Road Bike:
Try finding a kid's bike that works for cyclocross as well as all-around riding at this price. The closest contender is the Redline Conquest 24 at almost twice the price with fewer tire choices. This bike weighs in at 23 pounds stock (no pedals), not much heavier than the Redline. After 8 months and a few CX races, no adjustments needed so far. My 10 year old stepson rides it; he's 4' 7" and I installed a 60mm stem for now. It's a good fit for him. For CX races we slap on some Schwalbes and he's good to go. Solid ride, good paint, good spec, nice price.
