Comments about Karhu K Boom Skis - Kid's:

This is a great way to get kids started with cross country skiing because they're feet stay warm inside their own snow boots or even street shoes. They likely won't win any races however, as snowboots and lack of a heel lift for "kick" is a pretty inefficient way to ski. The benefits outweigh the negatives though and kids at this age need to learn balance and using the track to their advantage. The only downside besides price is the screws with weird diamond shape heads need to be removed each time a new boot size is introduced. An allan wrench will work but a compatible tool should be included at this price.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      I thought these were great! My son did not want to take them off. And contrary to the previous review, they DO allow the heel to lift for XC type skiing and the binding was adjustable with a philips head screwdriver. My son is 4 years old and went 2 miles out and back his second day on them!

      We used them on a groomed trail and out back of the ski house on some rough snow.

      I had no complaints, I believe my children will learn to love skiing at an early age because of these skis.
