      I bought a pair for myself and my husband.The conversion was perfect for my helmet but my husband had to do some mods to get his pads to fit right. I like the sound and ease of use. Have not tested it with any headers yet and so far have managed to unplug earphones before removing helmet.

      I gave one set as a gift but the sound would only come out of one speaker. REI exchanged it thankfully. Just be careful to not stress the wires taking your helmet on and off. They won't take too much abuse. Otherwise, I love the mute button and that I can turn it on and off while wearing ski gloves. Sound quality is excellent.

        These earpads feel and fit JUST like the ones made for the helmet (I have the G10). While keeping you just as warm, they put out very good sound while cruising the slopes. Of course, while rocking out, you lose your hearing sense of those around you so you need NEED to be more aware visually, especially when riding down the mountain. When riding with others or if you want to talk to the liftees, there is a very accessible volume control/mute button which can be clipped onto your coat or backpack strap (as I have done). They are also very affordable, which is nice, in case a hard hit or too much moisture causes them to short out or something. (which hasn't happened to me yet I might add) Well worth it!!

          For the money I am VERY impressed with the sound quality. I own headphones by Sony, AKG, Ultimate Ears and these are terrific for the money and sound great. Way more comfy than "inear buds." and safer than risking earbuds getting jammed down your canal.

          The only bummer is the fit of one of the ear pad is flimsy on my Fuse helmet. I'll contact REI or Giro to see about it. So this review might be a little early.

          I'm on my second pair of these and they're going back as well. REI exchanged the first pair, however both pair suffered the same problem; the plug does not stay in the earpad jack. This happened after only one day of use. I won't be trying a third pair. Giro needs to come up with a better design.

                Headphones are great but don't fit very well on my G9 helemt, the attachment is really made for the G10. Love the outside volume & mute control, I can even work it with my gloves on.

                bought this for my giro g9 ski helmet, used once and so far only one of the speakers on the side you attach the jack too worked, the other side popped in and out.....could be a bad unit or a problem that will nag any future user of this product...gonna exchange it and see, giving this product the benefit of doubt however the sound was decent enough for a [$] headphone even if you wear a beanie under your helmet, i hope this is an isolated case cause i really like the concept!!!
