Comments about Sea To Summit Basin:
When I bought this sink some years back my intent was not for use but for just one more piece of gear I could have. My thoughts changed quickly. On multi-week river and desert trips to mountain summits this camp sink has been a lifesaver. It can serve as a rain collector to an extra container to settle water in or even as a rain hat! Its the perfect size to wash backcountry kitchenware in and you don't even notice the weight. It dries quickly and never has retained any smell. This sink is very tuff and very small. The basin goes with me on every trip no matter where I am going! On one trip I made a large pinprick hole on the bottom of the basin , but with just a small drop of seam bond from my pad repair kit and wham problem fixed and that was in 2003 and have never had a problem since. What a great buy!

Comments about Sea To Summit Basin:
I picked this up and was a bit self conscious about what all my backpacking friends would say when I pulled it out of my pack (I am the gadget guy, something for everything).... Well, I pulled out out after a 7 mile hike into camp. They laughed. I then went to the lake and came back with a giant load of water (it was a heavy haul). I then proceeded to filter the water from my basin for cooking or whatever else I needed, without having to go back to the lake to fill a Nalgene. Later, I decided it was laundry time so I turned the basin inside out and filled it, when off and washed some clothes; and as I was finishing it became the big hit and everyone wanted to wash clothes in it (Natural soap of course, away from water sources ;) )
After that was done I turned it back to the intended basin side and filled it back up with water to bring near camp. Everyone dipped in and filtered their water from it.
By the end of the trip everyone wanted one.
I highly recommend grabbing one and trying it out.
