Comments about 686 Original Tool Belt - Men's:

I actually have a slightly different variation of this belt (last year's model which has the "rocker" studs), but it is essentially the same useful 686 tool belt. Best included feature? the handy bottle opener... LOL.

This is basically a high quality, thick (5mm), durable, water-resistant leather belt, but it includes a nifty double-hole buckle system that has utilizes a standard head and Phillips head screwdriver. The end of the buckle has a bottle opener/cap lifter. And the belt slot thingy has a integral hex socket in two sizes. Honestly, I've never had to use the "tool" functions, but it's nice to know they are there.

The nifty buckle is just a value added plus, because the leather belt itself is great and well worth the price. I wear it often because it's comfortable, durable and stylish.

You might pay a similar price for a more cheaply made, belt at one of those trendy mall boutiques.

I have 7 year old version of this belt that I've worn nearly everyday of that time. It is still in good shape, I just wanted a new one. The new model looks nearly identical(minus the bottle opener), but is made of a much lower grade of leather. I'm not totally convinced that it should be considered 100% leather. It looks like its leather shavings glued together. The new buckle is much thinner and lighter than its predecessor. The old buckle is beefier and seems more durable, like a tool should be. 686 has switched to cheaper materials with this belt.
