Comments about SmartWool Liner Gloves - Men's:
Would not trade them. Lightweight, great fit, wool but 'soft/cashmere' feel. While these are considered 'liners', they were the sole gloves I wore on a recent winter 3-day backpacking trip w/temps of high-teens to low-forties. I had a heavier pair, but never pulled them out of my backpack. I consider myself a 'heat-generator', others in cold temps may need something more.

Comments about SmartWool Liner Gloves - Men's:
Often on a hike, this is the only pair of gloves I need, even in 20F weather. I lost one (left hand if you see it on a west suburban Chicago trail) and have no reluctance buying another pair.

Comments about SmartWool Liner Gloves - Men's:
I wore these gloves mostly when I walked my two dogs and drove the car. small holes developed quickly between fingers and at tips! Sad.

Comments about SmartWool Liner Gloves - Men's:
These are a nice pair of liner gloves. Even though mine developed a couple of small holes, they are still functional after 5 years of not-very-rugged use.
I like them for cold weather running, because they keep my hands warm but breath nicely. They work fine for hikes in cool weather without much rugged terrain. For backpacking and hikes with more rugged terrain or cooler weather, I prefer a more rugged, windstopper glove.

Use these under your regular gloves and it's amazing how much warmer they will feel.
