Comments about SmartWool Socks Set - Infants'/Toddlers':
We've been using the Smartwool baby socks for 2.5 yrs now. They are super cute and warm without bulk (fit in shoes nicely), however they are made very poorly and do not last long, esp. for the price! We have about 8 prs of these total and they have totally worn through in the heel and toes, with the rest of the sock in perfect condition. The 2 new sets we rec'd for xmas have been worn 3x's and look very worn, pilly and the threads are pulling out - i will be calling smartwool for a refund. The quality has become very cheap compared to the first pr we purchase 2.5 yrs ago. Unfortunately, there are no other socks like this so we have continued to buy them even though the quality is so poor.

i like to put these socks on when we go hiking and i know there is going to be puddles to jump in. when my boys feet get wet i just take off their shoes and squeeze these socks out. which pretty much dries them out and then put them back on. way better than cotton.

I love smartwool for myself and when I saw these they were a must have! I use them for my 10 month old and my 2 year old. They love them and they stay on nicely without being constrictive. There is enough give in them that I both of my kids can wear the same size. I will keep buying these!!!

I got a pair of these in 2007--they were warm and tightly woven. I got another pair in mid-2008 and they were loosely woven and cheap. The company seems to be trading off of reputation for high quality but they seem to be going downhill...time for someone else to step into this niche market. Kids feet should be warm!

I bought these for my twins in several successive sizes. They wear them with their rubber boots as well as their winter boots. They keep their feet dry and comfy. They have been perfect for the rainy Alaskan fall as well as the cold Alaskan winters.

Comments about SmartWool Socks Set - Infants'/Toddlers':
I bought these socks in November for my four year old daughter. We use them in a fairly large rotation of socks, though these are her favorite. They fit wonderfully and never slip down, but we've had a few problems. I feel that they do not hold up to regular wear at all.
The colors have faded quite a bit in the wash, and within two months there are large threadbare spots on the heels and ball of the foot area.
They are cute, warm socks, but I will be returning these to REI this week: socks that don't hold up over two or three months are not worth spending the extra money on.

I purchased these for my 1 year old's first trip to the snow. What a great product. They fit well and kept her feet warm, cozy, and dry. They also held up well all winter and still had a lot of wear left in them when she outgrew this size. Love them so much I ordered the next size up for my daughter this year and bought the SmartWool ski socks for my older child as well. [...]

I got these socks for my kids. I love knowing that while many kids in cotton socks at school have cold wet feet on rainy/snowy days, my kids feet are warm.

I got them for my 3-year-old about 2 months ago, and he loves them! They are warm but not too warm for indoor use. They are so soft it seems like they would wear out quickly or the elastic wouldn't wouldn't keep them on his feet, but so far neither has happened. We haven't had the true test (snow) yet, but for 35-40 degrees in wet weather they seem to be perfect.
