Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
I love being silent in the wilderness and feeling the earth beneath my feet. Whether I am teaching indigenous skills, doing wildlife photography, or just being at home in the wilderness, I have not found better footwear than the Five Finger Water Shoe.
The sole is thick enough to protect my feet but thin enough to feel barefoot and to be very quiet when I walk.
They are excellent on slippery surfaces, providing great traction.
OK, they are water shoes, but I have found them extremely valuable on almost any terrain. And they are extremely durable. I give them my highest rating.

Got them as a present from the US (I´m from Chile) have tried them around the city and to go to class. But where I found them mor comfortable was on base camp to walk around...I wore them with silk socks during the night until very late with around 10-15 C and worked perfect! great grip on wet surface

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
I just recently got these and they are amazing. I hate shoes, but cant go barefoot as much as I would prefer. These allow for the closest to barefoot ride I can get. Great for walking around, doing daily tasks, and all sorts of watersports! The only downer is for those that have odd toes/feet, it can take a couple extra seconds to get them on around your toes.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
I bought these as soon as I found them in an online review. They have been the most comfortable and balanced footwear I've ever worn. I use them for everyday use, including walking on hard surfaces, such as concrete. I had to teach myself how to walk appropriately, and for the first few days, I found that my feet ached since I was walking too heavily. It has now been over 3 weeks, and they feel wonderful. I abhor wearing any other shoes now.
A note on the sizing: I followed the Vibram sizing chart exactly, and had significant tightness on my big toe for the first two weeks. They must have expanded as I wore them, because they now fit perfectly. Also, I always wear them with Injinji toe socks (to reduce odors), which fit just fine without increasing the shoe size.
I'm not sure why these are listed as water shoes. It is very easy to get wet between the toes when walking on wet grass, and they are not waterproof. I use them for all dry land applications--I have ordered a pair of the Flow variety for the upcoming winter and wet weather. I may buy a pair of KSO's (in black) for an additional choice of styles.
People are not used to these shoes yet in my region (the southeastern United States)--I receive a significant share of ridicule for using these as all-purpose shoes.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
The Vibram Five Fingers Sprint has replaced my high end, covered toe flip-flops as my everyday, everywhere shoe.
I'd never seen or heard of them prior to trying on a pair and immediately buying them for me and my 11 year old son.
Look, I am barefoot or in flip-flops nearly year round here in Texas. I hate when I have to wear shoes. Heck, I barely tolerate sneakers. So I can't begin to tell you what a joy it is to have found something that allows my feet the coverage and protection of a shoe with the comfort, stability and freedom of bare feet.
My son is as thrilled with his Sprints as I am with mine. We've hit all of our local haunts in them from the store to the park to our local pool.
After a particularly muddy outing or after wear in the water, a quick rinse in gentle detergent and an air dry makes them look and feel like new.
I could go on and on but I think you get the picture; I am head-over heels in love with Vibram Five Fingers! I can't wait to pickup more.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
I recently received a pair of Classics. I am an older walker/hiker with a history of foot pain - bent toes, corns, plantar fasciitis, you name it. I put these FiveFingers on, and had almost immediate relief from foot pain. I'm taking the advice about breaking my feet in slowly to this new style of shoe, but have had no problems so far, and find them amazingly comfortable on all kinds of surfaces. I think I'm a convert.

I like mine but people will make fun of you if you wear them in public. People sort of love them or hate them. I like that they are basically like walking bare foot without the dangers. You can walk on small rocks easily with no pain, as well as do some light hiking I bet. I wear mine around the house and outside in the yard mostly. It may take a few attempts to get the hang of putting them on since you need to squiggle each toe into the slot. I personally have the most trouble with my smaller toe, but once in there are no issues. They can smell a bit so you will want to plan to clean them occasionally. I suspect the version with the strap might be better if you plan on more activities with them.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
I actually have the "Sprint" models which have a strap across the top of the foot but are more or less the same as the classics, save the strap. I had heard that when first wearing these shoes to take it easy when first wearing them till the muscles in your feet get stronger before wearing them for extended periods of time, running and other strenuous activities. I see the logic in it if your footwear experience is solely things that have a lot of support and padding. I climb, a lot. So naturally from doing so my feet are a bit stronger than most, and also wearing sandals such as Chacos and similar things, that have less support than other footwear tend to lean towards being barefooted. Having those things all going for me, I found these shoes to be literally like going barefooted. I had no problems going out on class 4 trails and scrambling up rocks and even leading some technical climbs. They held up awesome and were just great.
With climbing in them however, it was nice to have some protection while climbing on some sharp rock or doing moves that would otherwise tear up your foot when climbing barefoot, but like anything else you do, you adapt and know what you can and can't do. I look forward to climbing more in them and even trying out some other activities.

I've had my vibrams for over a year, 2 hiking seasons in the Anza Borrego desert. They are extremely comfortable and have great traction while boulder scrambling, dry waterfall climbing.
and knocking around camp. I found that once they adjusted to the shape of my feet, they were very easy on and off. I will always have a pair!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers Classic Water Shoes - Men's:
These are amazing, although they are mainly intended for boating and water sports they can also be used for other stuff because of the great rubber that they are made out of, the material on the top of the shoe also allows your foot to breath. They are awesomely comfortable as-well.
