Comments about Yakima HullyRollers - Pair:
I'm a 5'4 woman - my hully rollers enable me to load up my sea kayak quickly and with minimal effort. Getting ready to go is never much of a production.

Comments about Yakima HullyRollers - Pair:
I recently made a 1300 mile trip from Carlsbad, NM to Moab, UT and back. I carried my kayak using a pair of Mako Saddles and Hully Rollers. Whether driving 75 mph into a 20 - 30 mph wind on Westbound I40 or doing 70 with a strong side wind on US 285, the kayak never budged. I could look through the sunroof see how stable it was. Great product.

Comments about Yakima HullyRollers - Pair:
I have a 9' Ocean (43 lbs) and a 16' Wilderness Systems (54 lbs). I bought the Hullyrollers to use with the Mako Saddles so that it would be easier to put my boats on my Jeep. The saddles are fine, but the rollers are difficult to say the least. The rubber wheels seem to want to grip the boat rather than let it travel, and the boats' weights are apparently too much for the rollers, which will at some times not turn at all (yes, I made sure the locks were off) and torque my factory crossbar until I have to pick the boat up off of the rollers and let the saddles do all the work. I was happier with my [$] pads. So far, I'm a little dissappointed in this system after having invested so much money in it.

Comments about Yakima HullyRollers - Pair:
I bought two pair of these for my parent's who can no longer lift boats over their heads. Unfortunately, the rollers rely on bushings instead of bearings, and most of the time don't roll with the kayak/canoe (they are used for both). I find it difficult to slide the kayak forward and back on the car owing to the rollers lack of roll. You're better off buying some Teflon blocks for your rack over these things. These will be getting swapped out for next season.
The only positive I'd note is the rollers have universal joints allowing them to match the hull of the boat, and seem to be sold when supporting a 60lbs boat going down dirt roads.
