Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set:
So you've set up the tent, secured some water and now it's time to eat. Camp food isn't always the nicest way to finish a grueling day but the simple, childish fun of eating partially rehydrated slop from a brightly coloured, squishy silicone bowl takes me to a happy place for those few minutes and this always helps. I love the outdoors. I love the challenge of the hike, the spectacular views and the peace but the food, sometimes I wish I could do without. These things remove that negative association and keep me happy.
For that, they're worth it.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set:
I bought this set over a year ago. I may have actually eaten food out of it once or twice. I am accustomed to using pots for serving meals, but based upon the reviews and the light weight of the set I thought I would splurge.
After having carried them along on several excursions, I find I don't use them-partly because I am comfortable eating out of a pot, partly because the somewhat sticky silicone ALWAYS attracts dirt!!! Not wanting to eat from a filthy bowl, I find they better serve to stow my large fuel canister and keep it from banging against things in my bag. In that respect, the price could not be justified when a pack towel would do. Car camping might be a better use-extra items aren't such a pain and one might object less to always having to clean it BEFORE and after use.

Yes, the cup is smaller...but have a second cup of coffee then! This thing is great...for young children too. I hear about it being to hot to hold...nonsense for me. If you cradle it in your palm (easiest way to hold and drink) it is just warm enough to feel great...especially on a cold evening or morning. Even my 6 and 8 year old don't think it is hot! You NEVER burn your lip like drinking from metal. Easy to clean and packs anywhere. It also doubles as a toy for the younger kids the first few trips! The high temp tolerance means you won't accidently melt this one either. I am going to give several away for gifts and as prizes for my Scouts. I would buy a "medium" size if they come out with it.

Almost perfect, great buy.
Just one thing: be careful when you'r eating a very hot soup - the material can resist up to 300 degrees celsius, but your hand holding the bowls can't.

Love it. The capacity is actually a little more than advertised; you can pour two cups into the bowl and have room at the top. Same goes for the cup. I prefer the feel to a metal cup, and you can scrape everything out of the bowl easily.
It is a little weird at first; just play-test it a bit.
For those who said it gets too hot to hold: that is a handy warning that you're about to get your lips burned! Let your stuff cool off or just don't overheat it in the first.

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set:
I use this bowl as my cup and bowl, but it takes two hands when picking up liquids to ensure you don't flatten the sides, thereby decreasing volume and spilling on yourself. However, this also makes a great microwave bowl, and tolerates hot liquids, so it's the only dish I brought with me for a short-term apartment stay. Plus, that turning inside out to lick thing really makes you feel better about camping in the Smokies...fewer lingering food smells from doing the dishes. However, I'm thinking about going cook-free and UL, so I may switch to a freezer bag...

Comments about Guyot Designs Squishy Bowl and Cup Set:
I used this cup and bowl set on a 4-day backpacking trip. It was great because I could stuff it into any nook or cranny after using it. It's good for holding hot liquids without burning the fingers. It helps to squeeze the cup a little before drinking from it to create a natural spout. It would be good if the material was a bit thicker, although that would affect its portability.

These bowls worked great and I had no problem drinking a marquarita out of the cup and a cup of coffee. My only complaint is that they did not come with a plate, pretty hard to eat a sloppy joe or slice of lasagna out of the bowl.

Great product, I have cooked with flexible silicone products for years and these live up to the performance I have come to expect from that great material. They pack down anywhere, are light and offer enough heat resistance to stop your big chicken mamu from scalding you while you eat. Will be looking for a bigger bowl to add to the collection for sure!

Bowl is useful for sharing lunch with a friend. Small cup is useful for wine, nightcap.
