Everyone got smartwool socks for Christmas one year. I bought myself two pair--this one and a saturn. I hardly wore them, saving them for special times--I mean, hardly wore them. And even then, the margarita had holes i in both heels and on the bottom of my foot where I have never had holes in my socks before. They cost way too much for being worn a couple dozen times. The saturns are doing well and feeling as great as the day I bought them. I can't recommend these socks.

I'm going to agree with a previous poster: these socks did not last as long as the saturnsphere socks. A couple of wears and washes, and the heels were wearing through. Saturnsphere purchased at the same time have been worn and washed many times with no signs of wear. (and this holds true for each of the three pairs of Margarita socks I purchased. I also purchased 5 pair of Saturnsphere, and all are still going strong)

Excellent all-purpose sock. Thin enough to wear with Mary Janes to show off the stripes for a casual work day, but substantial enough to wear for light hikes, too. Soft, yet stay in place without pinching or cutting off circulation. Plus, they're machine washable. So pleased I bought another pair!

These are without a doubt my favorite socks for everyday/casual/office wear. I have multiple pairs in a variety of colors. They are super comfortable, keep my feet dry, and hold up wash after wash. I wear them year round, and they are just the right weight to be comfortable in all seasons. In the past I have had trouble with wool being itchy, but Smartwool socks don't itch at all. I highly recommend them.

I have had multiple pairs of the margarita socks in different colors. They are so cute and bright. However, they do not hold up well at all. I thought my first pair wore out in the heels after wearing about 5 times because I wore them in the house without shoes. However, I have had the same problem repeatedly with subsequent pairs. They cost too much to not last very long!

I practically live in sandals so when I saw the colors I bought three pairs. Forget about wearing these with sandals because they don't hold up to sports sandal straps. These and another style from SmartWool wore out very quickly. At least this one didn't get holes from being washed in a washer on low speed like the other style did. I will never buy "Smart"Wool again.

If you like thin socks then these may be ok for you. In the winter I like my socks to have a little padding under toe & heel. The Smartwool Jovian & Smartwool Reflections both have that padding just under the foot, but thin around the rest of the ankle area. Those worked out better for me.
