I'm a male, but I still use this shoe. I don't mind the color - it makes me stand out.
I use this shoe because of the narrower "female" fit. It leaves no deadspace in the heel, and my shoes have not stretched so don't buy too cramped for your foot.
The Trax XT5 rubber is comparable to Stealth C4 found on Five Ten Shoes. Both rubbers are great, but I think the Trax XT5 lasts longer.
I always loved the build quality of Evolv Shoes. The shoes don't fall apart until you're ready to buy a new pair.
The plush lining is a plus, but it does trap sweat and make your pretty purple shoes pungent.
I would recommend this shoe if you are brave and don't care about color - if you're climbing, you have this trait anyway. I don't believe these are the highest performance shoes, but they have the best value for the price.

This is an amazing shoe to have in your collection. It fits narrow to average feet. It's very flexible and sensitive. I used this shoe for EVERYTHING. The only thing you might want a different shoe for is really aggressive heel-hooking. The Elektra excels on everything else, including slabs, edges, gym and everyday bouldering.

These were my first pair of shoes and they did the job fantastically. They work great for bouldering, top rope, and lead, so long as they stay indoors. The velcro is extremely convenient, especially when spending a long day in the gym. I also washed mine numerous times in the washing machine (DO NOT DRY) without damaging the synthetic material. They work relatively well on the occasional heel hook too, although if heel hooking is your sole objective, choose a more heel hook-specific shoe.

I've never found a pair of velcro shoes that fit well enough to buy. These are great for a narrow foot even without laces and don't stretch like leather shoes.

I can't say enough how great this shoe is! Evolv knows their stuff. The shoe is flexible, not floppy, and fits like a glove. The shoe has actually been designed for a woman's foot, and you can tell too- by the narrowness of the heel. The rubber is great, a the synthetic uppers will never stretch out, so practically no break in period!!! Plus, the velcro closure is nice for getting out of tight fitting shoes between pitches.

This was my first pair of shoes that I bought and they are great! This is the only pair of women's shoes that fit me since I have a wide foot for a woman. I love the ease of the velcro and they are extremely comfortable. I can climb all day in them and it doesn't even feel like I am wearing anything. I was slightly hesitant about the band of rubber around the sides/top of the shoe because I didn't think that they would stretch at all but they stretched just enough but also kept my foot snug in them so they didn't rub. I am so glad about this purchase.

These are my first pair of climbing shoes and I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again. Fits true to size for me - I could wear my normal street shoe size without it bunching my toes or slipping off my heels. Easy and fast to adjust with the velcro straps. Best of all, there's no painful break-in period or stretching with wear. The synthetic material also washes easily.
After finishing a hard route, it's nice to be able to whip them off quickly; the velcro is super convenient! I would never get lace-up shoes after this!

These are my first shoes and worked out great. The velcro made them very easy to use (easy to slip on/off when you need to), and they have a great fit. I'm new to climbing so I didn't really know what to look for in climbing shoes or where I would need more support, but these had a great all around fit. The only bad thing is the synthetic material makes your feet smell sooo bad.
