The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:
Love this paddle for its light weight and trim feel, but . . . with twists and turns of whitewater, I had to reconnect it several times in a 5-hour river run. Danger of loosing the parts and control of my kayak, caused me to "park" this paddle for the milder lake tours. I hope it will be improved, as I would buy an upgrade!

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:
I originally bought this paddle for my wife because of the light weight. After I tried it, I bought one for myself. In my opinion, it's not a "whitewater paddle" because of the nylon blades. Great for calm waters and the occaisional foray onto big water ...., on a calm day. I consider this paddle a great value for the money.

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:
This is a very good paddle for beginners or as a back up. It's light and the small blades make long paddles easier, allowing the paddler to build up strength and endurance. The drawbacks are that the small blades don't provide much power when ocean paddling or having to maneuver suddenly. The blades also aren't terribly durable. Although I'm very carefully with my paddles (they travel in a padded bag, I don't use them to fend off) the nylon blades still show signs of wear and tear.

Comments about Aqua-Bound Stingray Carbon Shaft Paddle:
The blades aren't very wide. This reduces fatigue for hours of paddling, but also provides less power than larger blades I have used. For the type of paddling I do, this is a great paddle. The price is right.
The adjustable shaft is great. Lots of positions to fine tune the feathering angle. The texture of the shaft is a little rough. If you were going to use this paddle more than a couple of hours, paddling gloves would probably help make it more comfortable.
