Great pair of shoes. We get a lot of compliments on how cute they are. My daughter wore a pair of size 5's last summer and we purchased a pair of 7's for this summer. (If our summer ever comes)
She can put them on solo, they stay on and clean out well. I wash them every month or so to keep them fresh.

Wish I'd read the reviews beforehand - I ordered the size my son currently wears in Stride Rite shoes, and the Keens are waaaay too small for him. Use the Keen sizing chart/order up!

My sister-in-law got these for my twin nieces before our road trip to Montana. Those 1.5 year olds sported those keens like nobody's business. They're great for a quick pull on and wonderful for their toddling skills.

These are great for toddlers. I purchased a pair for my 12 mo. old granddaughter and she loves them, especially at the playground. She likes to walk up the sliding board (with our help of course) and these are the only shoes that enable her to do this without slipping. She's very active and walks a lot every day. She had already worn out a pair of regular baby shoes when we got her these, which after 2 months of constant use show no signs of wear. These are heavier than regular baby shoes and we were concerned she might have a problem but she adjusted immediately. Now, if we try to give her a different shoe, she has a little trouble with them and slides around a lot. These give her excellent traction on any surface and seem to facilitate her walking and running. Luckily we live in SoCal so she can wear these year-round. Have already bought the next 2 larger sizes so she can continue with these uninterrupted. Just be sure and measure your child's foot and then refer to the shoe sizing chart for the correct size, as we had to buy a size larger than her regular shoes.

My kid loves to walk on him tippy toes so I love the flexibility of the footbed.
Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because his feet still get really stinky if he wears them on a hot sweaty day.

These are staples for my son each summer. In fact, since he started wearing shoes, these are the ONLY shoes I get for the summer. One pair will last the entire summer, but if I can find them on sale, I buy two pair just for variety.
I wont go on about how great they are (everyone else has) but know, this is THEE only shoe your child will need this summer.
Easy on and off. Durable and tough for the outdoors. They stay looking nice. If they get dirty or even muddy, you can throw them in the wash. They dry quickly in case he/she wears them in the water. You can dress him/her up in them for a nice dinner out (polo, jeans or shorts, keens = looking great!)
Two things to note: over the years, Keen has changed where their shoes are manufactured. In some years I notice that a size 5 (for example) looks the same as a size 6. Most of the time now if I order online, I buy two sizes and return whichever doesn't fit. VERY INCONSISTENT... which is the most disappointing thing from KEEN.
Second, the 2012 Newport has a closed back!!! I'm not happy about this! Their little feet were still protected with the open back. Now these are almost like shoes, not sandals... and I'm considering ordering a second pair this summer of a different KEEN style just so my son's feet can be exposed to a bit more air.
Grrrr... KEEN. I'm sure you had your reasons. The shoe is still great. But bummer, wish they hadn't changed that. :(

My 3 year old son has had a pair of these for the past two summers. My only complaint is that they smell horrible! Even washing them daily does not get rid of the terrible foot odor. This summer we will be trying a different sandal.

As previous reviewers noted, you need to buy bigger/size up! Our 19 months old son is in a European size 21 but with these Keen he needs at least a size 24, which corresponds to the U.S. size 7. According to the foot measurement (cm) he should fit in a size 5 but there is no way he would fit in a size 5.
Besides the sizing issues it is a great shoe, our older daughter has worn them for years and she loves them.
