It's a beast! This cavernous-capacity wheeled duffel bag is now updated with features that make it expedition-worthy for dependable gear hauling.

Main bag features a large U-shaped opening for easy access and a separate top zip compartment for wet clothes and dirty boots
Rugged wheels roll smoothly and quietly over parking lots, carpets and uneven terrain
Telescoping handle lets you pull the duffel with ease
Four interior zippered pockets to organize and separate small essentials
Small exterior side zip pocket allows quick stashing of last-minute items such as multi-tool, toothbrush and journal
Beefy high-density foam-padded main carry handles for traditional duffel-style carrying
Top and side compression straps cinch the load tight, helping to stabilize the gear and increase content's security
Padded grab-handles at each end allow quick two-person grabbing and hucking from ground to car, train or boat
Rigid high-density polyethylene (HDPE) panel supports bag when rolling; bottom bumper allows bag to stand when parked
Zippers on main compartment are lockable for added security (locks sold separately)

Most airlines allow carry-on baggage no larger than 22 x 14 x 9 in. While those measurements need not be exact, length plus width plus height cannot exceed 45 in. This is subject to change, so check your airline for actual size restrictions.

This is a no nonsense roller that does it's job well. Good for longer trips where you need to take alot of items, then store you baggage in constrained spaces.

I work on the road, traveling around the country, 3 days to a week in any one place. This bag makes it easy to carry ALL my clothing and some personal gear. The materials it's constructed from are tough. The bag is rugged and HUGE! I am going to replace my other suitcase with "The Beasts" little brother, and then I'll be set!

Saw this at REI & bought, even though I wasn't looking for a new bag/duffel. Did a 2-week ski & city/country visit in Europe, and needed several types of clothing, plus ski clothing & accessories. Best for this function I've seen, with great strap support, ID slot, capacity, separate pockets etc. Very versatile and practical, easy and stable to roll long distances, too.

My husband and I each have one of these REI travel duffels and we have used them to transport our backpacks and hiking gear on multiple international trips all over the US and South America. We never had to pay extra for checking them in with the various airlines. The great thing about the 35 inch duffles is that our full backpacks fit in well plus there is extra space for hiking boots and a change of clean clothes for after the treks. These duffles appear very sturdy - they have now gone thru about 6 international trips and show no sign of wear. We can easily put travel locks on the zipper pulls and the top storage compartment is really useful for keeping things separated from muddy gear in the main compartment. These are super useful if you travel with a backpack that you don't want munched in transit.

I was really excited for this bag after years of relying on a large duffle for airport travel. It is cavernous! Possibly to big for many trips, but the cinch straps help snug things up. Durability is questionable. On the first trip the support structure in the corners at the base had already ripped through.

I was quickly informed at the Airport that the bag is technically over the airline limit even when snugged down. The agent was savy on the brand/model and referenced the specs. I guess they've seen a few of them. Luckily they let me pass without the oversize baggage fee because it was half full, but I will return it for the smaller Tech Beast bag. I'm guessing this is why it's heavily discounted.

This is a truly huge rolling duffel, on the downside though, it's over 62" in dimensions, so it counts as over-sized. This will get you an excess baggage fee, so if you were hoping to avoid that second checked bag fee look for something a little smaller.

I frequently travel for extended periods of time so I generally have to pack enough clothes that can take me through between 1 to 3 months. The bag is spacious and fit all the clothes I needed and still had room for more. I would definitely recommend this bag.

I use my 35" Wheely Beast every weekend. I return home from a remote office on the weekends and the Wheely Beast has enough extra room for me to pack my 2 favorite pillows in addition to my clothes, dirty laundry and dopp kit. The handle is sturdy and doesn't show any signs of loosening after a year of continuous use. The wheels still roll as smooth as glass too. REI got it right.
