I was hit by a car yesterday afternoon and thrown off my bike onto the ground while wearing this helmet. The helmet has road marks on it where you can see that my head hit the road. Thanks to this helmet I am alive and ready to bike again. The more expensive Gyros may have something that this one doesn't... but this one is 1/3 the price and I can vouch for it's effectiveness.

this is my 2nd giro womens helmet. i used this to replace the old giro 'venus' helmet which i had to pitch due to age. MUCH lighter construction on the skyla with a significantly better fit system than it's predecessor 'venus'. (universal 'adult' helmets look freakishly HUGE on my head, LOVE the womens model) have had good experience with giro's customer service as well.

I really like this helmet. I went with the black/gold because I thought it looked artsy without being overly flowery and I think it looks very nice in person. I wouldn't get the black if you go on the road a lot, though, because you probably would want brighter colors so motorists can see you. It fits my head perfectly and it comes with little cushions that you can put in the helmet where ever you need more padding. I've used it in cold and warmer weather for mountain biking (I'm not a road rider)without issue. The vents are nice to let in lots of air to keep you from getting sweaty and in the cold you can wear a thin cap to keep the chill out.

I hope I never find out how well it works in an accident!

I've been wearing this helmet for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. I have a very small sized head and its hard to find a helmet that is comfortable and doesn't look like a bucket on my head. This one is great! It's been mountain biking, road cycling and it goes on my commute to class with me as well. When I'm not wearing it after my commute it gets clipped to my backpack where it bumps into things and should generally be scrached up. It shows absolutly no wear and tear. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The airflow is great even here in the Arizona Desert. Great color options as well. I highly recommend this helmet!

I purchased this for my wife. She was stoked that it was girlie and cute. She ended up slamming hard enough to crack part of the helmet and indent her headband into the inside of the foam and imprinting it on her forehead. She did suffer a concussion from the fall but with that being said I don't even want to think about what would have happened if she wasnt wearing it. Without a doubt I'd recommend this helmet to others

Overall an excellent value for the price, and nice fit and venting - both lighter and cooler than equivalent priced helmets by competitors. Good visibility (by cars, etc) without sacrificing design (thanks, i was tired of all white helmets to be more visible). Would prefer different sizes rather than one size fits all so it doesn't look so much like a bucket on my small head, but it is a suprisingly comfortable and good fit as such. I recommended it to a friend who is also happy with this helmet.

Absolutely this helmet. Yes, it is soooo girly. It fits well, even with my "big" naturally curly hair. I loved my previous Giro helmet that was a pearl white and I thought I wouldn't find a helmet that I liked as well. I was wrong. So lightweight and comfortable. Can't recommend it enough. I think the vibrant colors also help me to be seen which is a huge advantage!

I love this helmet. I have trouble finding helmets i like because I have a small head and they never fit right. I ordered this online without trying it on because of all the great reviews. I love that it is girly and still gets the job done. I am paralyzed and ride a hand cycle every day and compete in races. The helmet fits so great and is so light and well venilated that i forget i am even wearing it. there is nothing about this helmet that i dont like.

This was recommended by a friend and I was very pleased with my new purchase. I loved the adjustability as well as the subtle feminine look of the helmet (I'm not the girly-girl, but still enjoy a bit of pink every now and then). The visor helps with sun/rain if caught off guard. I was also pleased with how affordable this helmet was. Great Buy!
